SPRI Dead Weight Slam Medicine Balls

I was looking for a 6lb Medicine Ball I could grip with one hand. I have such a model from Sports Authority, but that model is no longer manufactured.This model is too large to grip with one hand for any length of time, or for doing any workout movements. You can grip it with one hand if just holding it.That said, it is very squeezable. Unfortunately, the sand-fill is not done well. Any kind of rapid movement has an awkward, delayed "after-shock" as the sand falls into place. With the original Sports Authority model, you feel the sand fall into place, but it is smooth and does not rock the ball as you launch into a counter movement.

I STRONGLY do not recommend you purchase this ball. It's a big piece of rubber field with sand. That might be OK, however it does not hold shape in the form of ball. It's a shape shifter making it very difficult to utilize. The so-called ball hits the floor like a thud. I wanted to like it, but it's just a dud. After one slam it lost all shape/air. It does have a spot to add more air but who wants to do that all the time. Anyway I return mine good luck with yours if you decide to buy it

This item broke after two months and is not eligible for a return. Absolutely terrible and I would not recommend it. I was ordering Rage Slam Balls in the past. They would break after a year. I'm obviously going back to them since the product lasts 6x as long.

My clients LOVE these ballsWe have several of these, however our 20lb just died after only 15 months of moderate use. Slammed on rubber flooring so expected to hold up longer.We have several Rogue balls that lasted longer and they have a longer warrantee - SPRI is only 90 days...I'll be buying again b/c our clients love these, just wish they lasted longer. Hopefully we'll have better luck with our others.

There is another make slam ball which is, or appears to be, leather, and is much more firm than this. This ball seems to be filled with sand and is very soft and squishy making it difficult to hold and use. I would not buy this again.

Package arrived on time only problem was the first time I used the ball it formed into a solid piece and not useable very disappointed with my purchase

Good material. Grip confortable.

Used it once and all of the powder started coming out of the hole on top. Can only use for sit-ups not even wall balls or slams.
