This Blooming Tea Works Fine With a 12 Ounce Glass Mug
Regular clear 12-ounce tempered glass hot beverage mugs work well with the “Teabloom Flowering Tea Chest”I did not need to purchase a “special glass teapot” that is suggested for the optimal blooming tea experience. Some of the photos I have included will show you the scale of this floral tea blossom served in a regular 12-ounce glass mug. When you remove this blooming tea from the single-serving mylar foil package. The dried floral tea ball looks like a dried (dehydrated/freeze-dried) Brussels Sprout. This dried ball of actual flowers, berries, and tea leaves is a compact, hard sphere about the size of a quail’s egg. These blossoming floral teas begin to slowly open when boiling water is poured into the glass mug with the dried ball of tea waiting at the bottom of the cup. Make certain that at least two to three inches of boiling hot water completely covers the dried tea ball.I DO NOT RECOMMEND stirring the hot water or any of the contents in the glass mug while this floral tea hydrates and begins to open and bloom.Although this floral tea is made with different colored teas, different colored edible flowers and berries. The fully open tea blossom’s colors are primarily an orange yellow chrysanthemum flower with muted gray green tea leafs that unfurl beneath the floral top.The instructions on the package suggest that this floral tea blossom can be re-steeped two or three additional times.I can confirm that boiling water may be added three times. And a tea-colored beverage will appear in your cup each of the three times additional boiling water is added. The first cup of the fully steeped, full-strength tea and, blooming tea delivers mild flavors with balanced and subtle tastes and fragrances. My initial impression of this tea product is that the taste and smell is reminiscent of herbal teas. I did not notice any strong tanin/tannic tastes, bright or noticeable aromatic tea oils.I MUST mention that I am using bottled and filtered alkaline, lower acid, boiling water to brew this tea.Normal tap water or regular filtered water may provide more acid than the alkaline water I am using to brew this tea. Boiling water high in acid will affect the experience this tea product. After drinking the first cup, I filled my empty tea cup again with boiling hot water and gently stirred the contents of the cup. After allowing this second steep to settle for several minutes. The original floral blossom lost most of its flower shape. The yellow orange flower petals stratified, floated, towards the top of the tea cup. While the green tea leafs tend to remain at the bottom of the tea cup.The second cup of tea presents with a milder taste and less aromatic smell. The second steeping, with boiling alkaline water, of this floral tea blossom is noticeably weaker than the first cup. And with the second tea serving the tea blossom fell apart in the cup. This flowering tea no longer appears as if a whole flower is resting in my tea cup.The entire experience of drinking this floral blooming tea is an interesting and subtle experience. And I would recommend this tea product because of the novel experiences of the blooming flower in your tea cup and the noticeable floral notes and fragrances that this tea product does deliver. However, if you are discerning tea drinker, the tastes and fragrance’s of this blooming floral tea do not deliver the bright flavors or rich fragrances that gourmet and specialty teas will provide.A harsh critic may say that this blooming tea is a visual gimmick that does not deliver anything extraordinary. The visual, taste, and fragrance experience for this tea and floral leaf blend is at best mediocre and a middle of the road experience.Other critics may conclude this organic tea product delivers everything this tea promises to do, providing an unusual tea-drinking experience with carefully curated teas, berries and flower leaves that are a brief walk down the path less traveled.ENJOY DRINKING YOUR TEA.vTHE COMPANY YOU KEEP. AND, I WISH YOU PEACE, HEALTH & HAPPINESS.

Box not as big as it looks- great product otherwise
Great product and gift idea. Paid extra for the pretty packaging, but not as big as it looked-not worth the extra money if you don’t mind buying a gift bag to put it in. Disappointed only from that aspect. I did receive same product as a gift and was beautiful flowers but, I do have to say this box did have the highest caffeine, which did also account for me buying it though.
