Slow and Steady Taps a great Hole!
Works perfectly to re-tap the oil pan drain plug someone stripped before I got the car and get a great deal. I'm on the 3rd oil change and it doesn't leak. Re- bought when i couldn't find my first set.

Saved My Bacon
Started to do an oil change on my 2009 BMW 335i xDrive, but when I took out the drain plug I noticed the pan threads were destroyed.I saw someone use this on their N55 on YouTube (N54 and N55 have the same pan threads), so I tried it.Tap worked nicely, but obviously make sure you get it in square! So far it’s been about 75 miles since putting the new bolt in. Everything seems to be working well, no oil leaks and I’m glad the new bolts come with crush washers because the OEM washers obviously won’t work with the bigger size.I would recommend buying yourself a bag of new 13mm crush washers to stash for the future!

Worked great!!
My drain bolt wouldn’t not tighten completely, so I ordered this product and it worked great. Retapped the drain plug, flushed out the metal shavings, and installed the new plug. Now the plug is tight and no longer leaking any oil.

Works great
It doesn’t come with taping wrench and it is almost impossible to find a wrench for it at your local hardware store that will work with this size tap

The washer suck . Bad .
I got the kit and the tap worked well and cut like it should .Nice threads . The bolts are fair quality but will work for a oil drain plug. But the first thing to do when you get this kit ....take out the bolts take off the washers and throw the washers in the garbage be ause there are . Get a softer aluminum or copper sealing washer . Trust me just do it you will be glad you did .

for the cost the qualities pretty good
I have not had to use them yet. I am using a piggyback drain plug at the moment. I have these as a backup or maybe my next Oil Change I will use one. The quality of the tap and the plugs seem pretty good. I will probably use a better Crush Washer.

2015 BMW 535i (N55)
I stripped out the oil drain plug/hole on my 2015 BMW 535i (N55) and this M13 x 1.50 thread tap and bolts were recommended by someone on youtube. I ordered this kit and had my oil pan rethreaded and fixed in less than 30 minutes. Great price and the product got the job done! Highly recommend if you find yourself with the same problem.
