These are the best chocolate mints on the planet. They’re unbelievably smooth with the perfect mint flavor and the most superb chocolate. There are a lot of high-quality and excellent mints on the market, but Seattle chocolate mints are the very best.

My love of Frango Mints, which are very much like these, goes way back to Frederick & Nelson in Spokane where I was born, though it might have been the Crescent that sold them as some point, I can't recall. That candy was, according to Wikipedia, developed by Ray Alden in 1927 and was made with a secret recipe that included cocoa beans from two different continents, some special distilled peppermint from Oregon and local butter. The mints that I am familiar with come in the hex box and not the mid-west recipe that is sold in a more traditional flat candy box. Anyway, consider yourself warned if you like melt in your mouth smooth chocolate. Perhaps my very favorite candy, or close to it. I should mention that while dark chocolate is all the rage, I prefer a little sweater creamier candy that melts faster, so if you really like dark chocolate these might not be for you.

I have loved these mint truffles for years but noticed they'd become really hard to find. Suddenly I see them available and got two packs. They've obviously melted a few times and are not good tasting at all. Very waxy and tasteless. I am so sad, was looking forward to them being the favorites I remembered. Ugh.
