My boy loves it!
I recently bought the Light Pad Copy Board, Drawing Light Pad A4 Ultra-Thin Adjustable Brightness LED for my 9-year-old son, and it has been a fantastic addition to his drawing toolkit. As a parent, I am always on the lookout for tools that can enhance my child's creativity and learning experience, and this light pad certainly fits the bill.First and foremost, the ultra-thin design makes it incredibly easy for my son to handle and store. It is lightweight and portable, so he can easily carry it around the house or even take it with us on trips. The adjustable brightness feature is a standout aspect of this product. My son is able to adjust the light to his comfort level, which is particularly useful for different times of the day and varying lighting conditions. The LED light is evenly distributed across the surface, which ensures there are no dark spots or harsh glares that could strain his eyes. This is an important feature for young artists who spend a considerable amount of time tracing and drawing. The A4 size is perfect for his needs, providing ample space for his creative projects without being too bulky. One of the most impressive aspects of this light pad is its versatility. My son has used it for tracing images, practicing his handwriting, and even working on some simple animation projects. It has sparked his imagination and encouraged him to experiment with new techniques and ideas. The build quality is excellent, and the materials used feel durable and long-lasting. Despite regular use, the light pad has shown no signs of wear and tear. The pad is also easy to clean, which is a bonus when dealing with young children.Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the Light Pad Copy Board, Drawing Light Pad A4 Ultra-Thin Adjustable Brightness LED. It has proven to be a valuable tool for my son's artistic development and has provided him with countless hours of creative enjoyment. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a high-quality, versatile, and user-friendly drawing light pad for their children.

Works well good value
I haven’t used it an awful lot but it worked well for tracing through a heavyweight paper (300gsm). It’s amazingly slim and light. I’m very happy with it for the price.I thought would also use it for photography but I haven’t got round to it yet.

Not at all bad for the money.
I didn't expect the world at this price, and I'm not at all disappointed. It even got a bit damaged in transit thanks to Amazon's useless packing of stick the item in the bottom of the box and stuff some paper on top, so when it took a hit to the bottom corner, it broke off the corner of the board. I'll just patch it up with my heat gun, as for the price I am not going to go to the hassle of returning it and running the risk of them doing it a second time. The thing itself is very simple, a clear but of perspex with a black border hiding the LED strips along three sides. I don't have any interest in tracing things, I just wanted a basic lightbox, and while this does not give a consistent light all across the screen, it does it week enough for what it is officially used for, and even for my more elaborate use. I am made up it has a power button, it seems such a luxury at this price point, when you can quite easily plugin and pull out the USB leat to achieve the same thing, but it has a nice touch-sensitive power button and that makes me happy. So to sum up, it is brighter around three edges, but the overall brightness is crisp and bright enough for both tracing and looking at negatives and slides. If you demand equal brightness across the whole screen, well go spend some more money. It is not the most robust construction, as Amazon has proven, but again, for the price, you cannot really expect a metal frame. So cheap and cheerful, now let's see how long it lasts eh?

Great as a flat panel for astrophotography..
I bought this as a flat panel for taking flats for my astrophotography camera.Works just fine and the dimming feature is handy to get the correct ADU.

Great for intended purpose
I design luxury cards and art items which involve a lot of hand embossing, stitching and more. This board allows me to easily trace patterns and graphics on the reverse of printed media so that I can then develop my designs further. The board is very light and comfortable to use, and the brightness is instantly adjustable which is great as I have light sensitive/triggered migraines. The power lead is a good length to be plugged in on or near a workspace without being long enough to get tangled. I do find the board is most effective away from natural light sources - probably an obvious statement but it’s the first one I’ve used, so I’ll say it for the benefit of others like me. Very pleased with the product for the price I paid.

Works really well through 300gsm watercolour paper
I am absolutely delighted with this lightbox! My wife has one from a different manufacturer and isn't as bright as this one.I needed to be able to see intricate detail through 300gsm watercolour paper and it didn't disappoint. It easily accommodates Uk A4 paper (and US 8.5 x 11 inch) which I hold in place with a little masking tape. It's very light and good to use on the move.Any USB port will power it (but not charge it)I used a USB power pack I have for my smartphone so don't need to be tied to a laptop or stationary position.I have had lots of devices (tablets/graphic tablets etc) fail with this kind of mini-USB socket (an inherent problem with the USB factor, not the device) so I put a little extra masking tape on the lead to secure it to the edge of the box, as you'll find yourself rotating a lot as you are drawing. This is not to say I have had a problem, just a little preventative tip for you!I've attached some images showing the lightbox in use with the 300gsm watercolour paper. If you have extremely fine detail, just touching lightly with a finger in the adjacent area helps to get precise contact with the surface and bring more detail through.
