These packs are a must for anyone who puts up food for emergencies. Emergencies can be natural disasters or periods of unemployment or underemployment. It sure is easier to pay bills like utilities, mortgages and rent when you don't have to buy a lot of food. I bake my own bread and I find these packs useful to add to my buckets of bread, whole wheat and rye flour. It helps to keep them fresher longer.

I bought these to use in 5gal and 6gal buckets of white rice. They included a handy reference chart showing how many absorbers would be needed for various foods in various packaging sizes. A really nice touch is that each absorber is individually wrapped and includes an oxygen indicator disk in the package. The disk changed colors after I opened the wrapper to place the absorber in with the rice. This gave a real assurance that the absorbers were fresh and would serve their intended purpose.

The O2 absorbers arrived quickly. I like that they are individually sealed in a heavy vinyl package. Since I'm not sure just when I will be using them, I took the extra precaution and placed them, still in the vinyl package, in two wide mouth Ball quart size canning jars. If O2 leaks into the package, I'll know as it will draw a vacuum in the jar and snap down the button in the lid.

We have ordered 80 of these in 2 40 pack bundles. We use 2 packets in each 5 gallon mylar bag. bags filled in buckets to almost full capacity. The first order of 40 worked fine. The second order of 40 was horrible. We have 17 of these left and will be returning them. We started using 3 in a bag on this order because sometimes it absorbed no air and sometimes not enough. Don't know if this was a bad batch or what but these have been the worst absorbers we have used to date. I would give these less than 1 star if I could.

These packets do absorb O2 effectively. I did expect indicators of effectiveness on each packet, however.I know it's working because I use in resealable canning jars, and opening them I feel the suction coming from the removal of 21% of the gas (i.e. the O2).

Great O2 absorbers for the price. Packaging was great, they came wrapped in bubble wrap and sealed in plastic. They individually sealed and the O2 indicators were pink which turned blue after opening. This was my first purchase from PackFresh and I am very satisfied. I've ordered from other sellers before and have had issues in the past with some of them. Will be ordering again.

These are individually sealed so I never have to worry about them going bad, I just use what I need and store the rest for later. I used them to seal up 5 gallon buckets/mylar bags of corn, beans, rice, and quick oats. These worked remarkably well, after 2 days it was as if I vacuum sealed the mylar bags. As a matter of fact, I knew that one of my bags hadn't sealed right because I could feel the corn shaking around in the bag inside the bucket. I replaced the bag put a in a new 2000cc oxygen absorber and in couple of days vacuum packed tight like all the others. Great product, 5 stars! I have never written a review, so this is my first, but these guys deserve every star!There are individual oxygen indicators in each packet of 5 or so oxygen absorbers. They are pink when packaged, after I removed them and exposed them to air they quickly turned black. So I have every confidence that all of my absorbers were good.

I love that these oxygen absorbers come individually wrapped! I don't order them often, but when I do, I often only need part of what I order. The remainder tend to go bad before I need to use the rest of them even though I try to seal them.

They do work especially noticeable when you remove the majority of the air before sealing.
