Robust But Poor Sound Quality
After trying several headphone extension cables, this is the one that lasted me the longest (over three years, although I persevered with it for almost five). Alas, after it had completely given up the ghost, I decided to look elsewhere for a replacement. Why? Because, as other reviewers have already mentioned, the cable produces a buzzing sound in the background. Also, the general sound quality isn't the cleanest. As I only use this cable for watching films, it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. Still, that was enough to put me off buying another one.So, overall, it's pretty robust but that's about it.

Great Value
OK, this is why I needed this ...We have a Garmin Satnav with built-in Bluetooth with hands free and a built-in MP3 player. When we use this in our convertible, we cannot hear the incoming phone call or the music and, of course, the quality of the music is naff played via the satnav speaker. So ....... I bought an FM transmitter and set this to an empty frequency on the car FM radio, then I tune the FM transmitter to this same radio frequency. From the headphone out of the Garmin I plugged the stereo jack from the extension lead and ran this under the dash to the glove box. In the glovebox, I plugged the FM transmitter into the other end of this extension lead and switched the car radio on.Now I get my music collection played via the Garmin Satnav through the 8 speaker car system .... when the Garmin wants to give me directions, it pauses the music and gives me my travel instructions, then switches back to teh music. If I get an incoming telephone call, it fades the music and the telephone call comes through the car stereo. Even with the roof down and on the motorway or autobahn I get to hear the music in great quality and telephone calls and the traffic instructions all clearly played through the car stereo system. For a few pounds, I now have a great integrated system. The lead was a bargain and did exactly what I needed it to - taking the output of the Garmin satnav to the FM transmitter.

Good and long and works
This had worked really well for years and would probably continue to do so if the boss hadn't tidied it up one night. Can I find it now? Can I stuff. Any ideas anyone? She reckons she never touched it but I reckon it's gone in the bin. Oh well. I could buy a new one for a few pence so shouldn't really get too upset but, to be honest, I think it got cleaned away because wireless headphones have arrived. Probably.Highly recommended if you can't/won't/don't need wireless.

Can't be without it..
This is one of those simple yet (almost) life-changing pieces of kit. My CPU is located on the floor to save desk space, which also means the headphone jack is in an awkward place. This cable allows me to use my headphones without A) having to yoga stretch whenever I need to plug them into my PC, B) accidentally yanking them out (possibly with my ears) if I move an inch thus stretching the headphone wire too far, and C) ripping the headphone wire into two, with an epic level of fail, for the previously mentioned reason. It's the simple things in life.

Great quality earphone adaptor
Great quality. Enabled me to use some good quality earphones that previously would only work when plugged into a phone with a specific socket. Earphone cord was in 2 halves .. one very short piece with normal jack, which plugged into the part that would only plug into the phone. Now I can use them normally by plugging the previously too short piece into this adaptor. Perfect. Also useful for situations where a normal length earphone cord needs to be even longer.

Works fine
What is there to say about 3.5mm Stereo Jack to Socket Headphone Extension Cable Lead 3m? Other than it works well. For the price with free delivery I wasn't expecting too much but as i've said it works I'm using it to connect my iMac to an old Cambridge Sound Labs 5.1 sound system to play my MP3 music and it does a good job. It isn't that well shielded as it picks up light switches to fluorescent lamps being turned on and off with a loud click. I also would say if you want something for portable headphones, this would not be suitable as it's twin cable and not as described. I would only ever buy good quality extensions for portable MP3 players.

A useful bit of kit
Wanted to use my desktop stereo speakers with my laptop, so this was bought to plug into the desktop with the female end on the top of my desk, allowing me to switch my stereo speakers between my laptop and desktop without having to grub around under the desk. The (black) cable's more substantial than I expected, but it's not so thick as to make routing it difficult. 3m is a good length for what I wanted it to do, and I couldn't hear any difference when using my speakers plugged directly into my desktop or laptop, or via this cable.A good, durable-looking bit of kit which will be useful to anyone else wanting to do something similar.

3.5mm Stereo Jack to Socket Headphone Extension Cable Lead 3m
why the hell did it take me years to find this wonderful piece of kit for my bike? i have a sat nav with an earphone (useless by the way as the crash helmet let in more noise than the sat nav voice) but this piece of kit extended the 30cm earphone headset supplied with the sat nav to a more reasonable 3mtr user length for a biker who keeps his sat nav in a waterproof pack on the tank (as do most of us) plus i still use it with the same headphones at home on the computer, at this price i cannot recommend it enough, you will not be disappointed
