8247X Metal Servo Horn, Silver

The original one in my trx4 is made of plastic, and last for about a month. And got this metal one replaced and it works really well

I was hesitant to spend the money for one servo horn, but this is a quality piece that fit perfectly and I have had no trouble with.

I’ve been using those aluminum servo arms for my Axial Capra and they kept on stripping, even if I’m only running with those cheap-o 35kg servos. Got tired of replacing them and finally switched to this. I’ve recently had my son who’s inexperienced in rock crawling use it—lo and behold, he didn’t strip it so it made me a believer. One thing to note is check your clearances with your servo and panhard bar as this is not as horizontally slim as one would think. If all’s good, this is highly recommended

It's definitely sold I got a trash steering servo and it dose this weird death wobble that shakes rapidly paid 100 for it as a upgrade but lost the money on that one but this horn has held up nicely with it doing that

So the Traxxas TRX4 Defender (only one i have so i won't speak to the others) comes with a plastic servo horn. although functional it doesn't take much for the metal gear on the servo to eat the small plastic teeth on the horn. I stripped mine by hitting a sidewalk too hard, bout a one inch difference in height at full speed, causing my tires to permanently face to the right. replaced the plastic with this guy and it has been rock solid since. only con i would write to is that it will corrode if exposed to salt water. I am located on an island so beaches are my main play spot.
