Update 9/13/22: I bought this fifteen months ago and the plastic finally cracked and the bristles are coming out. Yes, it is sharp when that happens, so when it does, and it likely will, buy a new one. This brush never grew mold like the rope-covered I had before. Awesome. Very pleased with that. People have unfairly rated this poorly for the eventual degradation 1-2 years after purchase, but folks, this is a consumable product. It SHOULD be replaced periodically for hygienic reasons. Simply put, over time skin cells will lodge into the brush no matter how clean you keep it, so it's important to start fresh every so often. Shower brushes are not meant to last forever. My five star rating remains for this reason as I putting a new brush in my cart. Original review: I got this to replace my rope-covered handled brush made by the same company after it started molding on the rope and brush head a year after purchase. I guessed that the rope on the handle contributed to mold when used in the shower, so I got this one without the rope, hoping it would dry better, and it seems to. To be fair, the first one was marketed for dry brushing outside the shower and this one for the shower, I just didn't realize what that rope in the shower would do over time when I bought the first one. That one's one's bristles were soft but held well in the brush and worked fantastically, so I bought this with complete confidence, knowing it was a quality brush. It's exactly the same, minus the rope. I'm very pleased with this product and hope they keep it in stock for future purchases.

Scrub a dub dub. Great brush

Made with real bristles, the only thing not natural here is the plastic the bristles are seated in. I had the same brush (figuratively) for many years. So it stands the test of expected use time. I take soap (liquid or bar) rub on the brush, wet the surface then scrub a dub. Stretch, stange measurement, now if they mean the length of reach (handle and surface area to reach spots on your back... Ok its fine good length. Good natural hardwood handle. Softness, its not too soft and not too hard. When first using it may feel a little stiff, but it quickly feels fine as you use. It also makes a good back scratcher (when not in the bath/shower).

The brush seems well made and works well for me. I use the brush all over, not just for the back and it works great. Dry, the bristles feel rough, but wet and with soap the brush feels great. If my old brushes performance holds true for this, eventually the wood finish will deteriorate and the wood will split. But I normally can use the brush for years before that happens, so it's not really an issue. I like this one a lot and look forward to using it for a long time.

One piece design is the way to go. Will mold eventually, but I've this over a year and looks great! Bristles soften over time, but easy to reach all parts of back, bottom of feet etc. Rinses well as you scrub under the shower stream. Will buy again

This brush is not long handled as stated in the description! The bristles are also so soft that they hardly do anything at all! They don't seem like the natural bristles that I've had before on a back brush. I've already used this, otherwise, I would return it. Not happy with this.
