Delta faucet in a home my daughter purchased needed a cartridge replacement. Due to water quality the original valve had sustained damage making a leak proof cartridge replacement not possible. There wasn’t back of wall access to valve so restoration through shower tile was the only option. My plumber recommended Moen since it was his opinion that Moen fixtures were easier to repair. There are limited choices in restoration fixtures and this seemed to have the most attractive cover plate. The plate and control handle are good quality but the shower head and tub spout were not compared to Delta. We kept the Delta shower head and tub spout which were high end and in good condition. The valve that came with the set was good quality but not correct for this job. My plumber traded it for another valve Moen valve he had and gave me credit. Overall it was still a good purchase since the final results were good and the parts installed will be under warranty going forward.

This was a great solution for me! If you are considering this product, see the Youtube video by "George The Plumber" for Moen Chateau. This upgrade requires plumbing and carpentry skills, this is not a basic upgrade and I would not recommend if you are not skilled and do not have the right tools. George The Plumber makes the project look easy, but my particular situation required much more effort. If you cannot see what is in the wall before starting, be prepared to have to deal with the unexpected. Good luck! I'm very happy with the end result. :-)

Great solution for replacing an old 3 handle shower set without the hassle of ripping the walls out and replacing the tub surround it old tile that can’t be matched up to cover the holes left from conventional single handle shower sets.

The Installation of this kit was not for the faint of heart. You need to remove the old fixture in my case by cutting the fiberglass and then cut out the existing copper connected fittings. Trying to soldier the copper in the very confined space was impossible. I ended up soldiering the copper to the fittings outside of the tub and then soldiering the joints in the wall. As stated in the headline the water flow if 2.5 gallons with ho way to adjust it. The shower head that comes with the kit is plastic and not adjustable. It has a restrictor that make the shower head really slow and in my opinion unusable. I ended up using my old unrestricted showered with an adjustable restrictor. The tub spout is a slip on (for 1/2 copper) and made of plastic. The spout I was replacing was galvanized steel and threaded. So the spout was not help and I wouldn't have used it anyway it being plastic. So the fitting were not very useful for me and the valve isn't flow adjustable. I had to replace my old 3 hole shower fixture and this set-up allowed me to do that. I would say just be aware. Also the replacement cartridge for the fitting is about $50.00 - $60.00.
