Easy setup
I’m not one that commonly uses a computer so for me to be able to plug this in and get it running off the explanation was wonderful. So easy! I’ve used it on several motors and it worked flawlessly.

Great product. Was able to get more information than I thought possible.
Wasn’t easy to get working, but when I finally figured it out I was very pleased. It gave me more information than I thought was even possible. I have a 2017 Suzuki 25 hp tiller. It gave me total run hours and a ton of more information. I would highly recommend.

A+ Scanner but no DF60A manuals.
I'm a greasy fingered technician and had ZERO issues with setup. LMAO!! In spite of what other reviewers have reported, it doesn't require a college degree or an IT professional to setup this SDS system. I successfully completed the first scan on my DF60A before I noticed the setup video on the provided USB drive.Older outboard manuals are included but for 4 stroke DF**A outboards you will have to buy separately.I haven't used the "data" features yet, and taking my 1K+ laptop to the lake doesn't thrill me but it will beat waiting a month and paying a small fortune to get the boyz at the marina to diagnose an intermittent problem.I purchased because while on the lake idling my outboard started to beep. it turns out it was a low oil pressure warning, and the ECM didn't store a code so I'm waiting on a manual to know how to proceed but when the motor was throttled up it went away immediately. May be just idled too long or maybe a sensor, but nice to know i can monitor parameters.I work for a Toyota dealer and use TIS, and this is Suzuki's proprietary software so there are no limitations. you are getting all of the info a dealer tech would have. With appropriate manuals respective to your specific outboard you should be able to diagnose and repair anything, if your not scarred of getting a little grease on your hands? LOL!

Purchased for 2000 rebadged Evinrude 70 hp 4 stroke
Evinrude rebadged the Suzuki 2000 70 HP 4 stroke engines and sold them as their own.. Diagnostic software designed specifically for this engine was not available on Amazon or E-Bay. My Evinrude was starting easily, running smoothly, but topping out at about 2800 rpm -- well short of its normal operating range. The engine is designed with a limiter that keeps it from revving above 3000 rpm if there is an oil pressure or over heating problem. However, neither condition in this case applied. I purchased this for my Evinrude dealer to use after a year of attempted repairs (including replacement of the fuel injectors) with no effect. This Suzuki software worked perfectly with my Evinrude, ruling out a host of possible problems. As it turned out, the problem was with a faulty neutral switch that was not disengaging when the engine was put into gear (a problem that this tool would not have been able to identify on Suzuki engines either.) However, this tool worked flawlessly in assessing and eliminating potential problems that the on-board computer was designed to identify. My dealer was impressed, and I am impressed even though the final solution came from an extensive Internet search. (My dealer had been telling me that the computers on these engines were very primitive and provided little information. That turned out to be inaccurate.) Replacement of the neutral switch has returned my engine to normal functionality.

Capabilities. Good platform.
Did what they say it does. I have prior experience with this type of software, and loading it and using it were not a problem. You do need to be aware that you have to select com 1 for your port.I have an automotive background, and was impressed with the amount of data I could access. The graphing software helped diagnose a bad coolant sensor. I had a stalling issue and alarms going off indicating an overheating issue. I was able to watch the coolant sensor spike to 315 degrees. Which would indicate overheating problem. So I replaced the coolant sensor. No more stalling, and no more alarms going off.So I would recommend it. The price is very inexpensive for the capabilities you get. A deal.

Worked perfect
Installed on windows 10 laptop and it worked as it should. The paper directions are a little lacking but there are video direction on the flash drive they send you for specific installs and you just need to watch them and do exactly what they do in the video and it will work.

Worked for what I needed after changing to correct Comm.port
For those who are looking to purchase this,Software is easy to installWhen I plugged the ODBII device into my laptop, it didn't light up (thinking it was bad) but after plugging it I to the digital port and turning the key switch on, it worked as advertised. The main thing to make this work is the USB OBDII has to be set to comm 1 to work - any other comm port it fails.Go to control panelDevice managerLook at comm portRight click properties on the correct deviceThen go to advanced, there you can change the comm.port to use comm 1.Once the comm port was resolved - the software and cable worked like a charm
