I ordered these float valves for a couple of jobs at home. The first was fitting one of these floats to my IBC tank which i have in my garden. I use it to collect rainwater which is then pumped into a sprinkler to water my lawn. During the dry months with no rainfall my IBC tank just sat empty. I started to use a timer fitted onto my garden tap to fill the tank, however this wasn't really working - If there was a level in the IBC tank from rainwater, then the timer switching my mains fed water to "top the tank up" would just fill and then constantly overflow into the drain (and im on a water meter!!!). So... i wanted a simply way to control the tank level without wasting mains fed clean water... hence this purchase.The second float valve i want to use on my central heating cold water header tank. This tank is really small so hence fitted a fluidmaster a few years ago, but has been problematic. Last month the fluidmaster failed after i bled a radiator (probably due to some debris in the header tank), so water kept filling the tank, overflow blocked up and i ended up with water coming through my ceilings lol. After removing, inspecting & cleaning the tank out, i think a ball type float is better option that what i currently have fitted.Anyway... The product...Simple & effective. Float can be adjusted to setpoint via wing nut. Split pin fitted onto float linkage so you can easily remove it for valve inspection / cleaning. All 3 float valves seal correctly at float setpoint connected to my mains water pressure. The thread fitting, rubber seal and locknut seems to be decent quality. No issues fitting this float to my IBC tank. Everything seems to be working well.The only thing (which i didn't consider when i was looking for a float valve) is that the valve nozzle itself is very small... so flow is restricted & filling time increased. Every evening my 600 litre IBC tank is pretty much drained as my garden watering system runs. Refill time is >2hrs. Its not really an issue, just something to consider... depends on your application.Happy with this purchase. Thanks,.

I got these simple float valves to put in my set of 4 connected rain water butts. When the lowest is full the valve stops more water entering; the first butt has overflow when all the others are full. The float valves look cheap but do the job I bought them for.

Works perfectly, use for filling a tank I use for hydroponics to draw from a smaller filler tank. Easy to set up and works well.

Used for making a trough so the short design worked perfectly

These float valves have made my life a lot easier in not having to top up their nutrient tanks two or three times a week on my hydroponic system. Now I only have one reservoir to fill up every two to three weeks. They were very easy to install and have proved to be reliable. Excellent for the price delivered to my door.

Item is very good. Only thing that lets it down is that it splits at the bottom of thread and let's water in.

Bei dem Preis erwartet man nicht unbedingt a) gute Qualität und b) Langlebigkeit - aber: hier passt beides. Die Ventile sind eingesetzt als Schwimmerventil für eine Pferdetränke und am normalen Hauswasserdruck. Der Schwimmkörper lässt sich sehr gut und flexibel an die Bedürfnisse einstellen und das Wichtigste: wenn der Füllstand hoch genug ist, schaltet das Ventil auch wirklich ab ohne Nachlauf/Tröpfeln. Die Durchflussmenge ist zwar begrenzt, aber wahrscheinlich für die meisten Zwecke völlig ausreichend. Das hier wenig Metallteile verbaut sind, kann auch von einer längeren Haltbarkeit ausgegangen werden. Auf die Gewindeseite passen z.B. die Schraubanschlüsse 1/2 Zoll von Gardena.

Un bon produit qui fait le job. Je l'utilise aussi pour un système de distribution d'eau pour des volailles er cela fonctionne très bien.
