I have watched pure vanilla extract increase in price since I started my cookie business and have been searching for better pricing without giving up quality, this was a mistake. It is a diluted version of McCormick pure vanilla extract. The amount of alcohol is higher and that’s all you smell when you open bottle. The most important thing to know is that alcohol bakes off leaving you with less vanilla flavor therefore you need to use double the amount.....so not saving anything and you have to deal with too much liquid in your dough. I don’t recommend this product, bite the bullet and don’t cut quality to save a buck.

This is a horrible vanilla I purchase it before in the store and it was good but this time when I ordered it through Amazon I opened it up and it smells like straight bourbon I believe if I drink it I would get drunk there's no vanilla taste at all I made my Valentine cookie dough with it and all you could smell is bourbon but I thought well I'll bake them and after the alcohol burns off the vanilla Essence will be there I was wrong the cookies tasted horrible the smell was unbearable and it ruined my cookies I paid $30 and it was a waste of money I tried contacting the seller and Amazon and neither one of them will do anything about it. Amazon said that they can't allow the return because it has alcohol in it but yet they sent it to me with alcohol in it so I'm not sure if that's just a way to keep from give me a refund I'm very disappointed in Amazon their customer service isn't as good as I thought it was I would not recommend this item and I won't be buying this type of item from Amazon ever again because they don't value their customers enough to make sure they're getting a good product.

Although the vanilla had a plastic wrap guard thing around the cap, somebody should have made sure the cap was on tight as it leaked in the box. It was still a good deal for the price of vanilla- what's up with that? Why has it become so expensive??

This vanilla extract is very good, especially since I do so much baking around the Holidays, it is the first time I have tried it and it gives a wonderful boost to my pastries. Would buy again!

I like this one. Some people say it is too watery. All of them are that way to me. I like this one! Just wished the price was lower on all of them. The shortage of vanilla beans is the reason for the high costs.

Normally buy at Costco but they were out. Tried this brand but it did not have as much flavor. It also appeared to be more diluted.

I appreciate the flavor of this vanilla over the cheaper stuff in the stores. It is much easier having the large bottle instead of a tiny one. I use vanilla every day in my coffee, so go through it pretty quickly.
