Awesome game and great exercise!
I just got this game from Amazon less than a month ago to use for exercise and to stay out of the Texas heat. It is great! You get to choose your song, the level of difficulty, and mode of dance you want to do. There are songs by Jeremy Camp, Toby Mac, Pillar, Day of Fire, Superchick, Zoegirl, Red, Relient K and more... all recent songs, with a great beat. I've played it almost every day since it arrived and I always work up a sweat and yet it is so much fun I want to keep playing. The pad moves around quite a bit on carpet so you have to re-adjust it between songs. It comes with sticky pads if you want to put it on a hard surface to keep it from slipping but they don't work on the carpet. I installed it on my iMac with the 10.5 Leopard operating system. It doesn't say it is compatible with this but I made it work anyways. Here is what you need to do if you get it and have trouble with the install. When I put in the disc to install it said I didn't have the previous game version and that it would create a folder for me. It put the folder called "Dance Praise" on my desktop. It then said I could install the game, but it kept giving me an error message. So I dragged the "Dance Praise" folder from my desktop to my applications folder and then tried to install it and it loaded right away. I haven't tried it on a PC but it only says it is compatible with XP not Vista so keep that in mind.

Great for the whole family
Let me get the negative up front so I can go on and share the good stuff. The Dance Prasie is used with a computer. We use my husbands work computer to play. When he is at work we can't play (our home computer is in a whole other room). Having said that the game is great. It's easy to hook up. There are many albums to choose from and different levels. My son who is six can play on his own. My four year old daughter plays by only hitting the up and right squares and one of us hit the back and left squares. This helps her not to be overwelmed. There is a calorie counter on this game as well. I have used it for my workout. It's a lot more fun then going to the gym. The Christian music is a huge bonus. It has the words on the screen so those of us who are not dancing can learn the songs. Our family loves this game and plan on adding more pads and music choices in the furture. Worth the by.

dancing pad is useful, but the program sucks
I bought this program with dancing pad for my wife. The pad is okay to use, but the program is disappointing. It is way too easy and doesn't give accurate feedback of your performance. It is not configurable there is no obvious way to add new songs to it. We got bored within an hour. The fatal thing is that the program takes too much space and memory to run. It doesn't run fluently on my wife's Thinkpad X22.But I give it three stars because we still had fun with it, the trick is that luckily we discovered stepmania ([...]) just after a couple of hours after we found the program boring. Stepmania takes only several megabytes' disk space (initially) and runs fluently on x22. You can download songs for free and load them into stepmania. Many of them have adjustable hardness of steps and the program gives accurate feedback of each step. And it has sooo many different ways to dance and many different animations, background, themes to choose from. Can you expect more? It is completely free and the newest version even supports dancing competition with networking! The pad works with stepmania with a simple configuration of the keys, and it seems to work okay. But I do not recommend this product because with the [...] bucks you can probably get a better dancing pad alone to use with stepmania.

Quite good
I like it so much. My laptop is quite good but this goes well usually. But there are some errors. When you choose exercise(calorie) mode and start a song at main, it suddenly stops. Idk it's just a problem for me, but it really bothers me. Anyway, I can avoid the error by playing regular mode. And to some people, moderate mode can be too easy. I recommend you to change your difficulty harder if you have experienced similar game.I usually play hard mode, and after 30~40 minutes, I start to sweat a lot. I'm so happy about it because I have to lose my weight. One other problem is that the dance pad moves by itself when you play the game. I think it's because my room's floor is so slippery. It's not big movement so you can turn the pad in right direction after one song. And you should know that this game contains lots of modern christian songs. I don't care about it, but if you have other religion than it might make you uncomfortable.I hope you to enjoy a lot of weight by playing this game.

Fun Calorie burner
If you seriously want to use this product for exercise then you have to get to the Expert level. Not only do you learn the hardest steps of all but also you can manage to burn calories much faster. When I started I decided to try the "Medium" level and it took me almost an hour to burn 100 calories!!!(Not good) but with the Expert level I can do about 250 in one hour even though I still miss alot of steps. this means that I could potentially increase the calorie burn. 250 may not seem like much but in 6 days that is half a pound lost :)I would advise you to have some sort of padding under your mat (or wear thick socks) because it does take a toll on the balls of your feet.

Works for vista
I did a lot of search to find a dance mat that could be connected to a PC with Vista system. However, I never found any information that one definitely works on Vista. This one works on my Vista Home Premium -- just for anyone else who has the same question as I did. It's my first dance mat. I like it and until now I have not found any problem with it.

Great alternative to DDR
Bought this after really enjoying the 1st DP as an exercise program. Many great improvements in this game. My favorite is the continuous play option that lets you go from song to song without going back to the menu, GREAT for exercising. Don't worry if you can't dance...the easy levels are very doable (even for this uncoordinated middle-aged mom). And you don't need to be familiar with the songs. There is a good variety, and they're all so upbeat and optimistic with no bad language! Make sure your computer has the recommended specs. I did have a little trouble getting it to run on my older machine.
