Great value.The construction and materials for the mixing areas and the palette over all are of the same quality as the W&N pocket palettes, which are known to stand rugged use.Another plus of this palette is that it actually accommodates all 48 Cotman colors listed on the W&N website: 40 normal colors (included), 8 metallic colors.You’re only missing the eight metallic colors for the complete 48 color Cotman collection. But you can buy the metallic pocket set for under $20 for all eight half pans.As long as the half pans are that special Winsor & Newton half pan size, which is a tad smaller than most standard half pans, you can fit the full collection.If you do it right, and wait for sales on Amazon, you can get a complete set for under $65-70 before tax.

I was so excited to finally receive this that after I opened it, it actually took me a while to figure out that there are double pigments of the most popular used. The color variety is amazing, the depth of pigmentation of my most favorite colors truly surpass the pigments I’ve used by other brands. I’m so very happy with the results that I get each and every time I paint.As a child I used a Winsor & Newton color palette that was just the basic 16(?) blocks, which was well used, loved and appreciated by every artist before me…it very well could have been my mother’s and I claimed it as my own because I used it all the time! 😂If you want the absolute best pigments for watercolour, you don’t have to look any further than Winsor & Newton! Well worth every dollar spent!!

The most extensive color selection from Windsor Newton I have currently. The two blending plates are huge and divided multiple times for more blending areas. I am so pleased with this purchase of dense pigment paint!

1) Es cartón donde estaban las acuarelas estaba maltratado o creó que lo abrieron en la aduana.2) Te recomiendo que si vives en la costa o un ambiente húmedo y caluroso prendas el ventilador o aire acondicionado porque se volverán viscosas.3) Uno de ellos en específico el Rojo de cadmio oscuro me vino comido por un ratón, creo se alistó para una cita 🤭.4) Pintan muy bien5) Ah se me olvidó mencionar que si vienen 40 colores, un pincel y 5 se repiten como: blanco chino, gris Payne, ultramarino, amarillo limón y carmesí alizarina cual me servirá en caso de que se terminen las demás mientras veo si se encuentra disponible la paleta de 40 colores a un precio accesible.

It literally took me an hour to unwrap each individual paint, but this set is worth the effort!Stunning quality of pigment!

Bien 5 acuarelas repetidas, lo que no me agradó mucho, pero la calidad es la esperada. La caja es un poco dura de abrir, pero tiene buen espacio para mezclas.

If you hold the side to open towards you (sideways), press down with your right thumb and pull open with your left thumb. Super easy. Nothing spills.I love this set. Love, love, love!
