Needs an ingredients table/shopping list
Haven't tried any recipes. But what I've seen I liked. There was a nice mix of easy and ambitious, gebrokts and non, and the displays all looked like achievable designs for the home.In a following edition I would add a grocery list for stocking the pantry to supply these recipes instead of having to hunt through the book. Couldn't risk taking book in store for chametz reasons so a tear-out list would have made the book more user-friendly.

Passover tried and true?
I bought this book because of the "bento box" idea. It was very clever and everyone enjoyed it very much. I am a very experienced cook and baker but enjoy trying new Passover recipes each year. I make a fantastic sponge cake but was willing to try Ms. Fishbein's recipe. It was a total disaster and there is no way that this recipe was tried in a test kitchen. I followed her advice and rebeat the egg whites...this should NEVER be done!!! Total waste of food and $$$. Other recipes were very nice, The fruit kugel was a big hit!!

Has a lot of great chicken, meat and dessert recipes.
This is only the second Susie Fishbein cookbook I own. The salads and soups are very similiar to the ones in her other cookbooks. This cookbook has a variety of meat dishes that have easy to find pesach ingredients and happily deviate from the more traditional recipes of bubbes past. There is also a great selection of dairy and parve dessert recipes that I haven't seen until reading this book. It has a lot of gebrokts recipes, but they can easily be adapted for non-gebrokts eaters.

I became a much better cook
I've actually used this book for years and love it. This current purchase was a gift for a friend. I never was much of a cook but since trying out the recipes I have garnered numerous compliments from family and friends. The fact that Susie Fishbein gathered many of her other recipes into one book for Passover, and simplified several of them, worked to my advantage.

Love it so much I buy it as gifts.
Great holiday recipies, and recipies for every day in one collection. This is the second copy I have purchased, this one as a gift.

Pretty disappointed
All though there are some very interesting recipes in Passover by Design, many use mixes or preseasoned foods. The most disappointing to me were the matzo balls, which used matzo ball mix, and the gefilte fish, which uses that abomination, jarred gefilte fish. I understand that in a cookbook that is not presenting itself as a gourmet cookbook, but this is supposed to be high end.I'm planning on returning this book.

Disappointed
Not a fan of this book and I was really looking forward to its arrival. The recipes in this book don't come close to the amazing recipes of the first 2-3 Kosher by Design books she published, which have been my go-to recipe books for years. I didn't get the sense that many of these recipes even qualify as legally Kosher for Passover. It's pretty to look at, but the substance is just not the same quality as in the past. Disappointed.

Great gourmet Passover ideas!
This book looks at Passover menus in a creative way. There are even innovative ways to set up a Seder. It's my "go to" book for Passover.
