I bought this along with The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!: Why Oh Why are Deserts Dry?: Colour First Reader to help my young daughter with her school topic, 'fire and ice' and am pleasantly surprised at the amount of information she has picked up from these books; for example differences between the North and South poles and their native animal species. I have even learned a thing or two from them - I had never heard of a fennec fox before and I always assumed that camels carry water in their humps!The rhymes are a little clunkier than most Seuss I know, but the content is fun and really quite useful.
