Long drying time and leaves a vinyl-like finish
As an amateur leather hobbyist, I have used a dozen of Fiebing's product and have always been satisfied with their performance. After applying Fiebing's Oxblood to a full-grain veg tan leather, I noticed a significant rub off, which I did not previously experience with other Fiebing's dyes. Thus, to salvage the Oxblood dyed leather, I decided to try Fiebing's Tan-Kote. I applied Tan-Kote sparingly, generously, and moderately (as per instructions) on three different regions of leather. My results are disappointing. It takes quite a while for Tan-Kote to dry and after drying it leaves a plasticky glossy coat, which makes even the most expensive leather look artificial and cheap. Why would anyone use such a product on real leather is beyond my comprehension. It might reduce the rub off, but the end result is a tacky product. Delivery was fast, hence 2 stars.

Fiebing has a good reputation and their products are top notch. It keeps leather supple. Don't let your leather items get too dry or you won't be able to get it soft again. Keep on top of your leather goods with Fiebing's neatsfoot oil. I have been using neatsfoot oil for decades.

Biraz parlak ama hoş bir son kat cila. Amazon fiyatı gereksiz pahalı, merak ettiğim için aldım.

Love this stuff. It’s gives leather some protection and a nice glossy finish. But it also still allows oils to penetrate which in turn allows the leather to develop a nice patina. Use a damp sponge to apply and put on a light coat. You can always apply another coat if you wanted to. Resolene on the other hand is nice if you need your leather to be water resistant but won’t be able to oil the leather down the line and it also makes the leather kind of fake looking. It’s too shiny imo. That’s why tan kote is my go to finish
