Finally, The REAL Thing
I don't normally write reviews but I will make it a point to in this case. I am pleased as can be to finally find a genuine nozzle for my four Wavian fuel tanks. The originals broke long ago and with the Carbon nonsense, I had been frustrated for years by imitation replacements that I have had to resort to open pouring through a funnel. The nozzle I just received on this order is 100% identical and authentic to the old originals including absolutely no leakage and, very important, the internal breathing tube. You can actually empty the can quicker through this nozzle, with internal breathing tube, than you could with open pouring. Will be ordering several more. My old reliable Wavian jerry cans have new life!

Great spout, after some rework and modifications
When I received this spout, the gasket looked like it wasted seated properly. Upon inspection, I discovered that there was glue holding the gasket in place with lumps of dried glue under the gasket, which made it impossible to seal. I needed to cut the gasket free and cut the glue off the spout and off the gasket. Once the rework was done, I tested on a jerry can and put gas in my car. When I pulled the spout out of the gas filler neck, the rubber tube tip on the spout pulled off and stayed in the gas filler neck. I fixed this by putting a ring clamp on the rubber tube tip. Finally, a smaller diameter plastic adapter came with this spout, and is supposed to fit into the rubber tube tip. The adapter would not fit no matter how hard I tried - it is just too large to fit. Apart from these issues, the spout worked well, filled fast, great venting and no leaks! For this level of quality control, I would expect a much better price.

Finally found the real deal! This Flexible Jerry Can Spout Nozzle, made in Europe to NATO military spec for Wavian and VALPRO cans, is exactly what I was looking for. Durable, flexible for easy pouring, and it even has a rapid pour vent to prevent glugging. This older style is much better than the newer style.
This older style spout is much, much better than the newer ones with the shutoff that does not work properly.

OEM, it's what it's supposed to be.
OEM nozzle. Not sure about the knock-off's but not willing to mess around to find out.Cost of this vs the knock-off's really isn't much and you don't have to worry about it not working/leaking, or that replacement gaskets might not be right, etc. If you're buying top-of-the-line cans why would you NOT buy the OEM nozzle. AND, the newer cans are coming with the nightmare "SAFE" nozzles so grab one of these so you're actually able to use your cans the way they were designed to be used.

It works BUT
It works but doesn't exactly fit like it's supposed to. I have to use 2 gaskets to keep it from leaking while pouring fuel.

Initial Review *UPDATED*
SECOND UPDATEAfter using it for over a year it has performed better than I thought it would.Plastic extension is still in great shape. No leaks anywhere.Good, solid purchase.*UPDATE*I have been using this for a couple of weeks on my surplus Jerry can. I had to file down the vent tube on this slightly to fit the vent tube in the can and the latching "hooks" so it would latch all of the way.For those uninitiated in the use of these cans and funnels, when you first start pouring you need to give it a couple of seconds for the vaccum to start and then it will start flowing very quickly. I can empty the can from full into my Jeep in just over 2 minutes. It flows FAST and does not leak. Will update on the plastic nozzle tip on this at a later date. Will buy another for my next Jerry can.Giving this 5 stars initially. Just received it today and tried it on a Jerry can I have in my shed. It fit perfectly and seemed to work as it should but my Jerry can I have now does not have the vent tube in it as it broke off a few years ago.The nozzle isn't very long but should work okay for what I will need it for. I read elsewhere where people said that their nozzles cracked/broke after about a year of use. I'll post how the nozzle holds up at a later date. The overall build of mine seems like they did it right. Read a couple of reviews where there were some major QC issues, but mine seems just fine. No issues anywhere and the latch functions very easily. Not sure what the purpose of the smaller nozzle insert is for but guess I will figure it out later. The mounting bracket and hardware are all there and seems like it will mount just fine.I purchased an older can that will be here tomorrow. It will be a few days before I can give an actual working review as I need to clean, strip and paint the can first.I have another nozzle somewhat similar to this one and would recommend purchasing a pack of the small mouth Jerry can gaskets sold here on Amazon as well. Cheap insurance against a lost or bad gasket. They will fit both the nozzles and the caps on the cans themselves.
