Liquid smoke is basically sorcery. I had no idea this stuff even existed, but now I feel like I’ve unlocked a BBQ cheat code. A few drops and suddenly my kitchen chicken tastes like it spent six hours making friends with a smoker in the backyard. They’ve got different flavors too, which makes me feel fancy without doing any actual work. Honestly, it’s the easiest way to trick your taste buds (and your dinner guests) into thinking you’re a pitmaster. Zero effort, full smoky glory.

I thought it would be fun to buy this assortment and post a taste test (and a smell test). I opened and shook all the bottles. I screwed off the cap and smelled, then I put few drops on a teaspoon and tasted while outside. hickory: Has a bitter taste in comparison to the rest, 2nd smokiest, my least favorite because of the bitterness. pecan: The weakest flavor, can't discern much difference between the woods, but it doesn't have the bitterness of the hickory. apple: Definitely has a fruity note, otherwise the smoke component seems the same. mesquite: The most smokey. My overall favorite. No bitterness. I was expecting to be able to tell the individual woods apart but could not, other than the bitter note on the hickory. Maybe I'm just not discerning enough.

I don’t eat meat! I use this product to replace the meat flavor in my beans and etc.

Was truly happy to find a variety pack and at a reasonable cost. Not only purchased one for myself, but also gifted one to a sibling who introduced me to this product a decade ago. Still trying different meats with a few of the flavors to see what combinations tast best to me. Makes cooking or grilling a bit more enjoyable to get a tasty flavor at meal times. Simple to use and easy clean up pckaging. Not to overpowering if you add way more than needed. I always try to get the liquid to smoke from the heat and them cover the meat with a lids for several minutes to let the aroma also set in. Will be a custoner for life.

The flavors are good and what I wanted. Unfortunately, the applewood bottle leaked. I had read that in some reviews, but decided to change it. Then it happened to me too. I don't know why it was only that one. Something must have happened during manufacturing for that flavor.
