Terrible, Ever since I got the item the hdmi would constantly go out. I didn't think anything of it, I figured it was the cable so I would switch them and it worked for awhile. Today all of my devices I had plugged into it stopped working (keyboard, mouse, monitor). I'd recommend getting a higher quality adapter

It works. It's thicker and darker than the 2020 MacBook Air (space gray) I'm using it on, and extends further back than the back of the laptop, so overall the fit is awful. I'm guessing the fit would be more acceptable on a modern MacBook Pro, but I don't think Apple has ever made a MacBook this dark. That said, all the competition has support at only 4K@30Hz, and most of its competition doesn't even support video out and power charging at the same time. If you just want function and don't care as much about form, this is the one you're looking for.

Was extremely happy with this--feels sturdier than other models and snaps into place smartly. Also it has a nice high-speed capability for streaming 4K videos. But here's a hard-learned lesson: When you pull it off your computer, be sure to pull it STRAIGHT out. The internal connection is apparently not all that strong, and when I pulled slightly upward one time they became disconnected, rendering the thing useless. I'm not sure I'll replace it with an identical one, because I'm not at all sure I'm always going to be careful enough disengaging it.
