Zoo Med Vita-Sand in Sonoran White

Hey there fellow sand enthusiasts! 🏜️ So, I recently got this Zoo Med Vita-Sand in Sonoran White, and let me tell you, my pet lizard, Larry, thinks he's on a luxury vacation in the Sonoran Desert! 🦎✨ First off, the color? Pristine! It's like a blank canvas, waiting for an artist... or in my case, a lizard to make his mark. And the texture? Smoother than my attempts at online dating. 😂 But jokes aside, I was genuinely impressed with the quality. It's not just sand; it's Vita-Sand. Packed with vitamins and minerals, it's like a spa treatment for Larry's little feet. Plus, it's super easy to clean, which means more time for me to binge-watch my favorite shows. In conclusion, if you want to give your reptilian friend a taste of the high life without breaking the bank, this is the sand for you. And if Larry could talk, he'd probably say, "Five stars! Now, where's my sun hat?"

I love that this product is safe for beardies, as it’s mainly calcium and has no silica! (Silica kills reptiles) he’s very happy, and this sand is packed with calcium. It had a smell, but it seemed to go away soon after. Will be buying again!

Very dusty/powdery and has an offish odor but that’slikely due to the added calcium in the sand. Overall our three geckos seem unbothered.

The sand is very pretty, I like both the yellow, and white sand. The quality is great especially for the cheap price. It is very soft, and my geckos have not have any safety troubles with it.

The sand looks good, but it releases a fine silt dust that coats everything inside the cage and outside the cage when the lizard runs around and kicks up sand. I can blow on my Bearded Dragon and a cloud of settled dust will arise from her scales and disperse into the air. It clogged the filter to our room's mini split AC and at that point we decided to replace VitaSand with "Playsand" by quickcrete at our local hardware store used in masonry. That sand is washed before they package it. It's just natural sand, the kind you find at the river or the beach. So we went with that instead after all. Plus playsand is like a huge bag for like $5.

This is by far the best Sand I've found for my Bearded Dragon!!! I've tried a few different kinds but what I like most about this sand is for one it doesn't get his water bowl that he usually goes diving in 😂 all dirty and nasty looking and since it has all the vitamins and nutrients in it, I would think it would make it good for the water if he was to drink any before I get it rinsed out. I also like how fine the grit is compared to others as well as how it remains well insulated to keep it nice and warm for him. He absolutely Loves ❤️ it compared to the other kind I had in his tank.
