Super tasty, but very spicy sauce
I loved these noodles and they are so quick and easy to prepare.I wasn't quite expecting them to be so spicy though, so be careful if you're not a fan of heat and try part of the sauce and spice packets to start with!Love them though.

Delicious, high quality noodles- the only problem is the value
These are good quality noodles. They are easy to cook, and forgiving if you don’t cook them exactly as prescribed. They remain intact and they don’t turn to mush like some cheap noodles do, and they have a good texture to them, moist without being too rubbery. These are the kind of noodles that make cheap noodles look bad.Meanwhile, the sauce is great too. I’m a fan of peanut and satay sauces generally, and this is a good one. Cheap ones can taste like warmed peanut butter (not that there’s necessarily anything wrong with that), but this is a flavour that’s more delicate without being weak. The sesame offsets it nicely and it has a lovely authentic taste to it.The sauce is rich enough, and in a large enough quantity (just) that you can have a block of these noodles as a standalone lunch without the need to add a veg or protein to pad it out- though you can also do that too if you want. The only reason I’m not giving these noodles five stars is the price. As I write this, a pack of three servings’ worth of noodles is priced at six quid fifty, so over two pounds per serving. That’s incredibly and unjustifiably high, even for high quality noodles, and other premium brands offer a similar experience for far less.So for me the product falls down on value, but nothing else.

Not for me
The noodles are nice, but more like pasta. The sauce is… numbing spicy but not spicy spicy, bitter and strongly tasting of star-anise. Wouldn’t buy again due to the star anise flavour being overpowering.

Delicious noodles but expensive double price mark up from £4.99
I ordered a few of these noodles online for convenience as they were my favourite until the selling price has surprisingly nearly doubled from £4.99, taking into consideration that the mapo sauce is inedible, but the noodles themselves can be cooked using other ingredients, it doesn’t justify the serious mark up in price, which is a shame. These types of noodles are becoming more popular so a replacement will easily be found from a Chinatown.

Flavourfull noodles
It was my first time ordering and rtying ung Fu Mama Spicy Noodles with Szechuan Pepper - Taiwanese Sun-Dried Hot Noodles. It was nice to see that the packaging is also completely recycled and plastic free, the outer wrapper is not plastic but it says its made of wood pulp. I have not seen this before. The downside is that it doesn't last well and had some holes in when I get it and the more you move it around the more it comes apart.I found that 1 block of the noodles was plenty for lunch for 1 and the sachets were then the right size. I think if you did all 3 at once it would feed 4 easily. The Szechuan pepper is nice, it has a little kick to it, i don't really get much of the sundried tomato flavour. I cooked mine and had it with some meat, it made a nice lunch. The noodles do expand so dont think that the small block of noodles is too small and over do it!

Disgusting sauce
Noodles are perfect but the liquorice flavoured sauce is one of the most disgusting things I've ever tasted. Nothing to do with mapo or biang biang style sauces in general. Please don't add the sauce just make your own
