Wool undies are so nice!
Price was high! I was originally like am I really going to spend 30 bucks for underwear? I pulled the trigger and have been very happy with the purchase. They are pretty lightweight and soft so I have been hand washing them some as they seem pretty delicate. Fit is as expected and they look and feel really great on the skin. Have since purchased again in the tan color and really like them as well.

Wool is amazing
I'm a bit surprised looking at the reviews that everyone doesn't love these. It's probably a fit thing. They feel soft, fit me perfectly, launder well, and look great in blue. I have other wool underwear from Woolx, Smartwool, and Merino Tech, and I'd rate these up with the Woolx, which are my all time favorites (boxers!!!). Quality material and construction (flat stitching and quality waistband. Wool underwear is not for everybody, it's expensive, and it will not last as long as synthetics. That said, nothing performs better for keeping everybody happy down there (pardon my subtle expression but this is Amazon). Not too hot when it's warm, perfectly warm when it's cold, and excellent moisture control when climbing hills.

Best underwear ever
I tried these about a year ago. I originally just ordered one pair but shortly after I ordered 3 more. At this point it’s the only underwear that I wear. They fit snug almost like compression shorts but not as binding, but are super comfortable like soft cotton briefs. Very moisture wicking and breathable.

FREAKING TAGS!
I have been testing merino wool products lately. I wore a single pair of Meriwool boxer briefs for 3 weeks twice (yeah, I know, gross, but I wanted to test them to the extreme). I waited until the end of testing 2 pairs of underwear to make a report.During my testing period we had nice spring days where temps got as low as the low 50s, the whole way up to temps in the 90s. The wicking qualities of merino wool are great. The cloth dried fast if exposed to air (don't drop your pants in the middle of town :P) It resisted odor the entire 3 weeks. The cloth never felt "icky". I was impressed by the antibacterial nature of the cloth. If you want to do extended outdoor activities (think hiking the AT), you can't beat this product. So, here are my 2 minor quibbles. They fit great around the waist, as advertised, but not so great around the legs. They are a bit loose there, and don't feel as if they have any elastic there. The second problem, and definitely a distracting one, are the tags. There are 3 tags sewn into the waist band. The tags will drive you absolutely insane if you don't flip them up and out of the waist band. Disclaimer: Do not remove the tags unless you 100% know how to launder this product.

Save yourself!
I got these in preparation to walk the Camino de Santiago from Seville. I received and trained with them for a few weeks before I set off to Spain. There was a deformity in the elastic band that caused it to crease in the center and fold inwards as I wore them. A little inconvenient but otherwise harmless. They had and always did a very good job of wicking moisture and not collecting any scent even when I wore them for weeks. Yet, within two weeks of my trip they began to fall apart. What started as a dime sized hole grew to the size of a tennis ball within a matter of days. Part of the preparation for thru hiking is packing light, using dependable and versatile gear that can accommodate a variety of circumstances. I was essentially in the middle of nowhere as I dealt with issues I am describing above and had little recourse otherwise. The hole caused intense chafing that was unavoidable as I had to walk upwards of 10 miles daily to get from stop to stop. What was already a difficult trip had been compounded by the default of this product. I’ve returned them, I’ve received my refund, but I can not receive any retribution for my experience with this product. I trusted in this brand, I depended on this product, and I dealt with significant and quite literal pain for doing so. I strongly do not recommend these.

Great comfort. Poor durability.
This was my second round of Meriwool boxers. My first 5 pairs, purchased around summer 2023 were great. Lasted me around a year before I started getting holes in them around the gooch area. They survived constant weekly use (bought 5 pairs, used 1 daily during the work week) so I decided to get more.Unfortunately this second go round, purchased summer 2024, within 5 months they started getting holes also in the gooch area. The crazy part is I went from a surveying job to a desk job. So they see less action than before. And still lasted half the lifespan of the previous pairs. They are extremely comfortable and breathable. But the faulty durability is a killer considering the high price point of said boxers. Will try my luck with another brand.
