Whether you are expecting six feet of snow or tropical conditions, the NX-270 will serve you well. Every NX-270 comes with a combination of features you'll find nowhere else: First, the breathable WeatherShield layer zips over the No-See-Um mosquito netting to transform the hammock into an enclosed tent, providing warmth, a wind break, or extra protection from rain and snow. The NX-270's insulating pockets double as storage space for your gear. These six pockets are located underneath the hammock where you may store your boots and other gear during the night. True four season hammock
This is a great hamock. Im an avid backpacker and hike nearly every weekend. I much prefer hammocks over tents. I get so much better sleep. Until the nx270 winter camping with a hamock was impossible for me. I have used it on 4 weekend hikes now. I orderd it at the end of december and despite the holidays i received it promptly it was deliverd as I was literally leaving my house to go camping. When I got to the trailhead I took out my tent and sleeping pad and stuffed this in my pack. I was a little worried because I rarely take gear I haven't tested/set up at home first. Set up for the hamock was simple. Two ropes two trees two minutes. It is a bit different set up from my other hammocks as you don't hang it very tight. The Rain fly takes a bit longer to set up at first u ntill you have done it a few times. I recommend bringing a few tent stakes or extra rope to utilize all 8 tiedowns if its windy or you're expecting snow. The hamock ropes are plenty long and never stretched. I like that they do not absorb water. Anybody who has struggled to untie a frozen rope will appreciate that. The first night I used it was 29 degrees and rain/sleet most the night. I stayed 100% dry. The extra tie outs came in handy due to the wind. The fly is big enough to cook get your gear under so everything is protected. The pockets are very spacious and are excellent for putting in clothes and such for insulation. I put my canister fuel in one to keep it warm. Due to the pockets design I never felt it even though it was right under my back. The fly has withstood several inches of heavy wet snow and shows no sign of stress. Had I pitched it steeper the snow would of slid off. With the underquilt and a good sleeping bag rated to 15 degrees I was comfortable down to 9 degrees and I think I would of been fine had it got even colder. That was without useing a sleeping pad or any insulation in the pockets. Also at 9degrees was the only time there was any condensation/ ice inside. It was a very small amount. All the other nights in it there was none. This is definitely a great four season hammock. getting in and out of it is so easy compared some other brands. I love that I can sit in it hang my feet over and put on my boots. I am a big man 6'2" 280 pounds and I never felt cramped. It is very roomyI think this is a very durable quality product and will last a very long time. There wasn't a single flaw in the stitching or material anywhere. If I could change anything about it it would be the mosquito netting and the top could be removable. That would save a little weight in summer months when all you need is the fly. As far as weight goes even with the underquilt it's still lighter then any other winter set up ive used. I've thru hiked the Appalachian trail and many other section hikes. I use my gear regularly and in all kinds of weather. I'm not easily impressed. But I am with this product and will recommend it to everybody. Thanks for a great hammock!

The perfect 4 season solution.
Easy to setup and incredibly warm. I use it to take a nap this afternoon with the outside temp of 30°F without a sleeping bag. I just had the Clark underquilt and a wool blanket.Update:About a year after I purchased my NX-270 it developed a frayed seam that starting to separate on the stuff sack. I reached out to Clark and they told me to send it in and they would repair it. I sent my hammock into Clark and they replaced the stuff sack. They got is on a Friday an sent it back on that Monday. Incredibly fast turnaround. I am very happy with the service Clark has provided, and it speaks to their commitment to quality as a company. Excellent customer service and communication, and they didn’t charge me for the replacement or return shipping. I am truly impressed by this Company and would highly recommend the NX-270 or any other Clark product.

Great Hammock, bit pricy but will definitely exceed your expectations. Ropes for hanging are bit cheap but more than strong enough for setting up.

In a class of its own.
I have had one of these for a few years now and can accurately describe it as hurricane proof ! It will keep the weather off of you, any weather. It is light weight for its size and roomy. It has plenty of storage under it that can be accessed from the inside if needed. Very handy when camping In the winter when you need to get your coat before getting out of the hammock. It may take more time to set up than a hennessey hammock ( I have two of those also) but who is running a race any way? It will defentaly keep you warmer , dryer, and out of the wind better than most others . I have used this hammock on my most extreme weather hiking trips which are usually very windy and cold . Timpratures in the teens or lower and in winds that have gusted up to 30 mph. This hammock is the foul weather king! I am completely sealed from the weather with out a hint of air seeping in to wreck a good sleep . It scales at four pounds complete with the rods and stakes give or take a few ounces. Not bad for the level of protection it has to offer. Overall it is worth the money if you are a serious hammock camper or like me , a 4 season hiker . I will recommend one to anyone and would buy it again if I had to redo it. It is the best of the best .

The Best Quality Hammock Tent I'll Ever Own! It's worth Every Penny!
My good freind David G told me about the Clark Jungle Hammock tent and how comfortable it was to sleep outdoors. At first I was apprehensive, thinking it was pricy for a hammock... especially since I could buy a tent for a lot less. I took his advise and purchased one, I setup it up in my house the first time to get familar with the setup before camping, WOW was it easy. They thought of everything, from storage, to stable design, to all weather types, and all quality materials that will last generations. It's great to see the USA produce a great American product that lasts. My first trip was in the TN mountains with the first night down to 28deg F, with a little insulation under me and a really fantastic sleeping bag, I slept better than in my own bed. I can easily say it's the easiest to setup and tear down, made of the best quality materials, very confortable to sleep in (pull knees up), sleep on side, doesn't flip, or sag in middle, worth every penny, and made in the USA!
