Cheap lenses scratch easily, rendering the reading glasses unusable.
I ordered the eye glasses in the evening and got it the next day. They worked great and you are able to use one LED, the other, or both. LEDS were a little bright, but I would think that after a little drain from the batteries would take care of it. Batteries are replaceable. Fit was good. These were the positives. The key negative was when I cleaned the glasses with lens cleaner and the same microfiber cloth that I use on my Nikon lenses. After a light cleaning, I could not read with them. Though I was very careful about cleaning them without pressure, or certainly less pressure than cleaning Nikkor, they ended up trashed. It turned out that the lens (really just cheap plastic film) were permanently scratched.Neither were no directions on how to clean the glasses, nor was there a list of cleaner fluids NOT to use. This is an example of my being too cheap. A little more $ would have gotten me better lenses or at least directions on how to clean them properly. If you don't mind fingerprints, I guess these readers would be fine; however, at some point you will need to clean them and given my experience, you may as well throw them out.

Absolute garbage
I found a nice pair of glasses at Walgreens recently. Unfortunately, they were 24 bucks. So i had to pass for the moment. When i got home, i figured.., what the heck? Might as well try Amazon. Maybe ill find the same thing for less at another retailer. I liked the ones at walgreens... glass lenses... lights recessed and hidden so one could not, even looking directly at them tell they had hidden lights. Etc etc etc.. well... these were definitely NOT thise glasses. They are the cheapest plastic junk ive ever paid for. The lights? They are hugh, and the switches... well lets just say, one broke the first time i tried it. The plastic lenses? They make your eyes more blurry. I even switched back and forth between my other readers just to be sure it wasnt “me”.. it was like trying to look thru 3D glasses blurry... i cannot believe i paid for these. And hope nobody else makes the same mistake!

Wow! Best for the price I've found so far!
Just got these just delivered and am very impressed with them already especially for the price! The led lights are much brighter than a pair i recently lost, which i bought from a name brand pharmacy that charged $30 for pretty much the same item. The main difference i noticed is that the led lights on these ones are brighter, the glasses are much less bulky and lighter than the more expensive ones i lost.. although the light switches on these ones (the one i'm reviewing) are a little cheaper feeling but considering about a $20 difference it's nothing that's really concerning me right now. If they don't last or break etc, I will update this review. Also good to note is that they also came with 4 extra batteries, which means refills for two more times once the already installed batteries run out (so three full sets of batts are included). Given my habit of breaking or losing these types of glasses (i use them for live performances on usually dark stages) I would def get another pair should anything happen to these. For the price difference of $20, I thought I'd give this pair a chance and extremely happy that I did!

Your mother will thank you!
Bought these for my mom and she is a fan! These reading glasses are similar to the ones you can buy at your local drugstore except with mini lights to help you read in the dark. The LED lights are actually very bright and can be turned on and off by switching the tiny levers on each side of the frame. Also, several additional batteries were included in the order. Can't attest to how long the batteries will last given the good performance of the lights so far but if my mom likes them, I like them.

Problems with changing the batteries.
This is a pretty good deal except I'm having a problem changing the batteries. I was pleasantly surprised to find there were 'extra' batteries included, but I can see why now. The batteries that were already in the glasses only lasted a total of 4 hours, and for a marathon, night reader like myself...that was a little disappointing. I went to change the batteries and discovered one was too large. The set-up is a mystery to me and I still can't figure out how to replace them. The old ones are encased, with no visible way of removing them. I even had to bend one of the metal prongs but stopped there before I broke them. I'm still trying to work that out so I can use them again.

Work great
I like to read at night. My wife doesn't like that so much since it disturbs her. These glasses are perfect for that situation. They are very bright but the light is focused on the book. Keep your marriage healthy..get a pair.

Arm broke in 2 weeks
I love these glasses for night reading. But on last day of return exchange period I merely put them on as usual and they snapped on one side. Can the manufacturer do anexchange or replacement? Way too short a use time to break.Update: Sadly these glasses with lights that I use in dark restaurants to read menus snapped again😟

Not worth purchasing
This is the second set of these I bought and I was a fool to think they had gotten better in quality. The first set I bought a year or so ago and they were absolute crap. This last pair were equally crappy. The LEDs are so weak. Its useless for anything out past 6 inches from your face and even then the lights are faint (yes I tried new batteries). I was hoping to use it for a light source while doing mechanical work (cars and such), but it was of NO help. If they ever make glasses with good lights in them, someone please share the source.
