Before the package was even opened I was like, what's that smell? But after I opened it from the sealed plastic back that was inside A SECOND sealed plastic bag .. P.U.!!! I've ordered things before that had chemical smells to them but not like this.... NOT LIKE THIS! I tried it on for a second at first, it fit and looked exactly like I hoped, but THE SMELL. I thought about letting it air out but that could've taken forever so minutes later I decided to throw it away, like I had to take it outside to the dumpster. Had to open windows and turn fans on to air out the apartment as it managed to linger in the air for some hours. The smell was on my finger tips too and as I had tried it on for a sec I decided to wash my scalp in the sink thoroughly because I don't want whatever that chemical STANK was on me or seeping through my pours. If that hat was genuine sheep leather, it was ruined by whatever vat of industrial chemicals they felt necessary to soak it in before they shipped it to me. NEGATIVE 5 STARS!

I love the hat. the fabric is nice. It was just a little tight.
