Excellent kitchen for a toddler
I am THRILLED with this kitchen. It was my toddler's (21 months) big Santa gift, and he was awed by it on Christmas morning. It is certainly his favorite toy, and comes with all the extras a kid needs to play kitchen: dishes, cups, play food. He loves the little coffee pot, since his mama is a coffee fiend. This took my husband less than an hour to put together, and with minimal swearing. :) You do need to follow the directions, which are usually inside one of the pieces, so insist that the assembler read them carefully. In addition, there are some stickers that need to be applied, which took maybe 5 minutes. This easily transforms into a taller, narrower unit as your kid grows or your available space changes. It's very stable and you can secure it to a wall easily if you have a kid who wants to climb it.The one issue that other reviewers mentioned that we've had some glitches with is the oven door. It really can be hard to shut, which annoys the toddler. I think it must just be a little off on the mold.I looked at all kinds of kitchens for my son before settling on this one and I have absolutely no regrets.

Best Play Kitchen ever!!!!
This kitchen is perfect for my 14months old twin girls! It keeps them very occupied and they love all the noises it makes! The frying pan sounds like frying, and the pot sounds like boiling water! They love all the accessories this play kitchen came with specially the pot and frying pan! The storage space is small but everything that comes with it will fit if you use the oven and fridge as storage. The best thing about this kitchen is that you can adjust the height when your little one grows. Definitely recommend buying this play kitchen. Little Tikes makes great quality products and this one is another proof of that. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Purchased for Twins.
This is honestly one of my kids favorite toys. They get to re-enact their mother cooking in the kitchen. They love pretentding to pour coffee and cut up pizza slices. It was purchased as a present for our 2 year old son and daughter. When it arrived, the box looked a little rough from its travels, but the actual play set was in good condition. It came in 5 major sections, with several plastic bags full of either kitchen items or constructions materials. It took around 30 minutes to put together. The instructions are a little vague at points, especially as to proper screw placement, but re-read it several times and the pictures begin to make sense. It includes 4 cups, 4 plates, 4 forks/spoons/knives, 2 coffee cups, a coffee pot, a telephone, 2 pizzas + trays, a pizza slicer, a frying pan, a pot with lid and colored object inserts, a hot dog and bun, a hamburger and buns and finally a cupcake tray with for colored cupcakes. All parts are perfectly sized for 2 year olds, however none are so small as to be swallowed, or for that matter to fit into their little mouths. It may seems like a lot of peices to keep up with, when they tend to scatter them around the house, but our solution to this porblem was a peice of plastic tuperware that house the most unused peices. That allows us to keep them in a central location. At night we restage it for the kids, putting most items in the oven and fridge, though sometimes hiding them in the microwave as a suprise. The height is perfect at the higher setting, but for smaller toddlers you can always set it to the lower, but wider setting. The only issues I had were the difficulty of setup. (Not all that difficult, just requires some concentration and a few parts a little muscles to push the plastic peices together.) The other issue I had was that the sticker for one of the parts was stuck to the paper backing, so when we went to peel it off, it lost part of its sticky. So instead of haaving it hang lose we just used a little glue and it was fine. The entire thing is very light and easy to move around. At its highest setting it is probably 3 feet wide. Its light enough that a 2 year old can move it around.I guess thats about it. Its not a nice wooden kitchen set, but for parents of twins on a budget, it has made our kids very happy and met all of their needs.

Lots of fun
We bought this for our daughter when she was 12 months old. It was the only one I saw that adjusted to a lower level for a toddler. This was a HUGE selling point. It is also what enabled our barely 1 yr old to play with a real kitchen. She loves having a kitchen like Mommy. The Dishes that come with this set are the perfect amount. Anymore would be too overwhelming for this age group. The shape shorter cook pot is a lot of fun. From putting in the letters, to fitting the lid on the top, to listening to it "bubb;e" when it's on the burner. Both pans will make the bubble burner sound but ti is really one burner and it makes the sound when the pan is placed correctly. ------My daughter is now 2, this is still a much loved and beloved toy. About 2 months ago we converted it to the taller regular style kitchen and she likes that. I probably should have done it sooner, but was in denial my baby was getting bigger! The dishes and food it came with have been more than enough to entertain her for this entire year. This Christmas we bought her more food and pans and so far she ignores the new pans, and the new food was fun for a week or so. I think it has about reached it's age limit with us and it is time to move on to a bigger kid kitchen. --- a couple notes, the door on the microwave has been a little loose on ours and the door on the stove a little sticky but it hasn't been a problem.

Ingenius design for kitchen to "grow" with little-ones. Very creative! An excellent Value!
What a fantastic idea! Making a kitchen set that "grows" with the child....Very easy to assemble. When assembled correctly the backboard does not waiver or appear to topple. Very sturdy screws to secure backboardto sink/stove indent. Adorable concept. Wish they had these years ago when I bought for our daughter and granddaughters! This is for our great-granddaughter!Accompanying "food" items are as listed on box...26 items...including a sorting-pot with color-coded shapes. Excellent addition. Little ones will play with that alone for hours!All-in-all... Another creative toy from Little Tikes....to spur on little-one's imaginations!Very Pleased
