Lemon Peel Minced Zest - 1/4 Pound ( 4 Ounces ) - Dehydrated California Peel by Denver Spice

I had to bake 160 scones for a wedding brunch. I needed the zest from a ton of lemons and looked for an easier way to get the flavor versus scraping my knuckles zesting the lemons. I purchased this product as an alternative and it worked perfectly. My Cranberry Lemon Poppy Seed scones were delicious and a hit at the brunch. I highly recommend this product. This dried "zest" rehydrated when baking and the flavor was spot on. I would purchase again.

Good product. Nice lemon aroma and taste. Much more reasonable cost than getting the little one or two ounce jars from the local supermarkets.

a lot of things that I bake use lemon zest and I got tired or buying lemons just for the zest so this product has saved me time and money . Now I the zest from a real lemon if it is for garnish.

Ok I read all reviews and was willing to tr against better judgement . I should have gone with my knowledge that dried herbs or Zest doesn’t retain the natural oils needed for the natural flavor. The lemon zest is dried to hard grains and doesn’t have any flavor like a real zested lemon or natural lemon oil. Waste of money ! My lemon cookies were plain sugar and flour tasting . Think about it…. The oil in natural lemon rind is now totally dried out ! No flavor at all that’s why you can’t return if unhappy.

Flavor not near as strong as expected, had to double amount in recipes. Left gritty feel in mouth in long steeps in use in teas, didn't rehydrate to a softer state.

This zest is excellent to add that lemon taste to your recipes. Great value for your money

It is a little to fine for me to put in the pepper mill for lemon pepper. Was great as a zest, so I will use it in that type of cooking.

First time buying Lemon Zest! Just made Lemon Cream Cheese Cookies. The zest is used in the cookie batter as well as the icing. Yum
