Style:Frenzy II Designed by award-winning custom knife-maker Andrew Demko, the Cold Steel Frenzy takes its inspiration from ancient Japanese Kabutowari – with a thick spine, slender blade, needle-sharp piercing point and a long flat cutting edge. Made from premium American S35VN steel for superior edge retention, and line-grain satin polished with a deep fuller, the Frenzy’s 5.5” blade is as visually appealing as it is effective, and as it catches the light it’s truly a wonder to behold! The Frenzy’s handle is made from multiple layered and 3D CNC Machined dual-tone G-10. It’s thin and flat enough to comfortably carry without “printing” while it’s expertly designed and ergonomically contoured shape provides both comfort and retention in any grip. Equipped with the ground-breaking Tri-Ad locking mechanism for supreme endurance, reliability and safety, the Frenzy is a sleek and stylish mega-folder that takes up very little space in your pocket but snaps open to become a true force to be reckoned with!

Absolutely a beast
This is a phenomenal LARGE utility blade / self-defense folder. The quality mirrors that of knives 2-3x the cost. The tip grinds are completely even, the milling work is very clean and the blade came fully sharp with no poor grinds. Definitely recommended...Cold Steel has completely stepped up for 2017 and this knife is one of many I would offer as proof. For those having trouble with the lock, add a bit of oil to the blade tang, lock interface and open / close while you're watching some TV. That completely smoothed mine out and it's running like silk now.

Great 6-inch blade
Great, solidly built 6-inch blade with very tight Tri-Ad lock. Blade is beautiful CPM-S35VN steel but not too thick and doesn't have the hefty feel of a Cold Steel SR1. 6 inches provide plenty of reach as needed. Handle is blue/black in color but pretty low-profile in general. This G-10 handle is grippy but the clip + handle combo are pretty smooth (and, unlike G-10 handle + stiff pocket clip on many other Cold Steel folders, this probably will not shred the top of your pocket). The overall length of this folder when fully open is pretty long (longer than 12 inches).I ordered 3 units of the Frenzy II (Blue/Black) from Amazon US (Amazon proper, not some 3rd-party Marketplace seller). 2 units out of the 3 sent to me were in crisp brand-new boxes with factory seal intact. However, 1 unit arrived in a wrinkled open box with Cold Steel factory seal cut open, blade had some scratches and it looked as though they shipped me an open-box unit even though I ordered New. This is the third time this has happened to me when ordering knives from Amazon US (Amazon proper, not some 3rd-party Marketplace seller). First with a Cold Steel Black Talon II Serrated (I kept it, as the blade was mostly functional), second with a Cold Steel Luzon 6-inch (I returned it because it arrived broken in a wrinkled box, again with factory seal cut open, worse yet liner lock wouldn't even engage to lock the blade firmly in place), and third time with this Cold Steel Frenzy II. Third time is a charm. Is the Frenzy II worth the money? Most definitely, you get Cold Steel and Andrew Demko great design and exceptionally strong Tri-Ad lock. Just be aware of the caveat.

Classic Cold Steel
I really didn’t need this knife...but I’m a collector. The knife arrived a DAY LATE..Sunday service usually means Monday, but I survived the trauma.Back to the knife.Arrived very well, sharp, not difficult to open..and will get better with age.It will be an excellent defense knife where legal. And I strongly suggest wearing it on your belt in a holster. For EDC...I would choose the Voyager 4 in version...and if that’s illegal..the Rajah 111.That one is three inch blade.Look at my other knife reviews for other affordable knives. Thanks for reading

Like a raptor talon
Cold Steel EDC Folding Pocket Knife, Frenzy 2 - what a scary thing. The blade is crazy, a long metal claw/talon. The handle is quite thin, good for storage/pocket, but requires a strong grip when using the knife or it will slide out of your hand. I would like a thicker handle for such a knife. Of the three silly-large Cold Steel Knives (Ti-Lite, Luzon), this is the most aggressive. If it had the thickness of the Ti-Lite handle, it would be the clear winner among the three. I was going to return it until I heard strange sounds coming from the back yard one night. When it comes time to investigate those odd night time sounds, this is the blade I reached for - a confidence builder. The long handle and long blade gives you some poking distance (about hand-length separation) between your knuckles and the blade tip.

My new favorite!!! Thank you Lynn Thompson. High quality, really cool design, and sharp.
My new favorite knife!! I’ve been carrying & collecting knives for my whole life. All brands/types. This one is exceptional especially for the price. It’s large, hella cool, sharp, and the quality is excellent. I love the custom shapes and coloring. It’s slim and fits in either my front or rear pockets despite its length. Let’s be honest, the biggest part of carrying a knife is being cool. With all of the custom knives and brands out now, it’s hard to find something that’s not overly priced, and this reinvigorates my trust in cold steel. Flip this big boy out of your pocket to open Christmas presents and you’ll instantly be the coolest family member in the house!!

Excellent product.
First off, this knife is huge! Beautifully crafted and is a quality tool. On a serious note it has me thinking of moving back to Texas just to carry it. LOL.

Size Matters
This is a big, scary knife. If you like or need a big, scary knife, this is for you. I found the knife hard to open and close, however. The bushings need some time to break in, but they will. However, the back lock lever will always be hard to push down. If your hands are weak for whatever reason, you could have a hard time closing this knife. That could pose a dangerous situation. Still, if you really like this, just always remember to be very careful.

Very nice knife, but a bit hard to close
Nice knife, got it for a good price. My only complaint is that it is hard to close, you have to press the back lock very hard, often making your finger sore. Hopefully it will break in over time. Aside from that, it's very made, uses a very good steel, looks good and is very sharp. And big...
