the product is made in japan but it is look like cheap Chinese product, product quality is very very poor, do not buy from this seller, as soon as open a box, i have return it

Certainement overkill pour mon utilisation amateur, mais au moins je peux être fier de cet outil fiable, et sur lequel je peux compter avec certitude sans aucun doute ! Les modèles imitation Chinoises sont certainement suffisants pour 1/4 ou 1/5 du prix de celui-ci, mais entre les piles qui se consomment rapidement et le manque de fiabilité constaté par de nombreux utilisateurs, le Mitutoyo me semble justifié. C'est de toute façon un achat pour la vie. Il remplace un modèle mécanique qui date des années 50 devenu difficile à lire ....

Calipers are as you would expect from Mitutoyo. I've used them fairly extensively in various environments. They spent a good time surrounded by sawdust and to this day they are still super smooth and without issue. The way it remembers zero is also really useful, even if you switch them on after you open the jaws it can still tell you how far it's moved so you don't need to re-zero. I've not had them calibrated for a while so couldn't say how far they've run out but all my holes are still lining up whether I use a ruler or these to mark them up so I'd say they're fairly good. Overall I'd recommend them if you looking for a long term measuring companion. Just don't lend them out, otherwise you'll never see them again!

I bought this item and got a fake caliper. Make sure that that the seller is licensed by mitutoyo before buying. I would not recommend anyone to buy this item on Amazon at all, to be honest. There are even some pictures of fake mitutoyo calipers on Amazon. How to tell it is fake: 1. Battery already installed. Mitutoyo does not do that. 2. The battery is not the same as the packaged, and is of a cheaper variant. LR44 instead of SR44. Mitutoyo uses SR44. 3. The end stop is not in any way flushed with the end. 4. The digits are not ALL of full size. On a true Mitutoyo all digits are of full size. And much more, but these are the main deals. If you however get a real caliper, then you get a really good caliper.
