Victorinox Potato Peeler Red

Value for money, surprizingly easy to work with, make peeling a lighter job, be it papaya or bottle gourd, does an awesome job with them n more.

Its a good product. I thought it was expensive but the quality is good and Im happy after using it. So worth the price.

The media could not be loaded. Great going, Victorinox! I'm quite pleased. Some would complain that it feels cheap and light in the hand. To them I'd say that they ought to have put in a bit more research before buying. This is the entry level peeler from a world renowned brand. At least I'd have never imagined anything from Victorinox for INR 245! If one's looking for a heavier body, there's a whole range of Victorinox peelers available on Amazon ranging as high as Rs. 3000. Secondly, the light weight actually bodes well for peeling fast. Here are the highlights of my experience.THE THINNEST PEELS :Never come across a peeler that extracts little or no vegetable more than it should.SHARP BLADE :The blade is keen making strokes almost effortless as you'd see in the video.VERSATILEThe product is named potato peeler but it works great for cucumbers, carrots, radishes, apples, pears and similar foods and fruit.SWISS MADEIt's made in Switzerland, not in any Chinese or Asian unit.DURABLE PLASTICAlthough hollow, the plastic promises to last.Initially, one may find its use a bit ticklish around the rounded edges of potatoes but, sure enough, with use your hand gets accustomed to shaving out the perfect strokes.

Does the job. It peels very thin layer of vegetables. Purchased at 245/- from Cloudtail.It is bit pricey but better than other available brands Amazon solimo , etc.

Angle of blade could have been better

Top notch... Simply the best peeler. Best quality, perfectly sharp blade, ergonomic. Just perfect. Just like Victorinox.

Very very efficient peeler. Far better than standard model available in market. Price may be high, but works out in long run.

I bought this on 6-Oct-2017 and writing this review exactly after 2 years on 6-Oct-2019!It's a genuine Victorinox Product. The carbon steel blade is very sharp and peels vegetable easily - much better than the stainless steel blade commonly available in market. But the 45° angular blade needs some practice to use it effectively. Wish they had a peeler with more common design but same blade.What's good:● Sharp long lasting carbon steel blade● Genunine Victorinox peeler● Really good build quality● Fiber reinforced light weight plasticWhat's not so good:● The angular design is uncomfortable to use compared the straight or 90° designsOverall, great blade and build quality is marred by the angular design - but if you can get used to the angular design, its' a great buy. And you can't get any other genuine Victorinox product at this price!
