Delacre Prestige Belgian Cookies, Chocolate, 49.4 Ounce

I've moved to Florida and was afraid that it would melt the cookies if I ordered a tin. I was wrong. They were delivered with no melting in sight. My only disappointment was that many of the cookies were broken. This especially concerns me as I wanted to send several tins for Christmas gifts. What can be done about that?

These cookies tasted pretty much similar to each other. Some had a drop of one flavor or another in then. I like the plain butter cookies better. The tin arrived damaged so it wasn't able to be tightly sealed which means the cookies could absorb moisture from the humidity.

The tin is diabolically designed to amplify the tiny Siren voices of these cookies beckoning you to eat them late at night. And eat them you will, blowing your new year resolution within seconds and without regret. I never knew being fat could be so rewarding. These make a great gift or a once in a while treat. Multiple orders may result in addiction.

I grew up in Belgium eating Delacre cookies. There is nothing like them anywhere else. These are a wonderful treat and a trip down memory lane. Many imitation but nothing compares. Only buy Delacre cookies. You will not be sorry. I give them right, left and center during the holidays and EVERYONE loves them. Keep eating....

I sent the cookies to my daughter as a present.The cookies themselves were wonderful, as always, but the tin, which is really also a gift in itself, was damaged.It was very unfortunate, as one also pays for a pretty, reusable tin.Perhaps more careful packaging would help.Catharine

Package arrived slightly damaged. The contents were dry and stale; some of the cookies were broken and crumbled. The dryness made the cookies taste old -- no long fresh and tasty. I will avoid Delacre Belgian Cookies in the future...I will not buy this brand again.

If you want good European cookies, buy the Delacre brand. While expensive, there are lots of cookies and 2 layers in this tin. I assure you they will not last long. Our tin only lasted a few days.
