Ordered 24 of these for my LAN Center. They are as advertised. The very ends on either side don't lay flat but that is expected and I'm confident that over time it will flatten out.

Unlike others, my pad settled perfectly flat and has no stitching problems at all. I just wish the washing instructions were more accessible.My gaming mouse reads the pad surface flawlessly and glides like any other pad.EDIT: Put the large desk pad in the washing machine (new HE sideloader type) on quick wash, low heat, slow spin. Used my usual amount of liquid detergent. Washed all the stains out, and then I left it out to dry flat, Worked fine to clean.
