It works as expected. The bottom is NOT padded so expect some scarring on the bottom surface. I used a rag underneath to stop that. I would recommend wearing gloves so you don't scrape your knuckles on the board you are cutting. I am going to attach a larger vertical post for better leverage

Handy tool for wood floor install
