As of right now, this product is advertised as a speaker. This product does that job admirably (will discussed later), but it can be used as a fallback USB battery if necessary with 4.5 Ah that's good a couple of phone charges. The charging of this battery speaker is through a micro-USB connector. The small microUSB is to charge the device, the main USB connector is used to power other device. The light blinks red as you charge.However, this device is best used as a speaker. On a full charge, I was able to manage about 6.5 hours playing continuously (on a road trip). The acoustics and base are adequate, any advanced audiophile would probably have issues with quality, but normal ears like mine would think good enough. The decibel output is probably at the level of a loud conversation. For some of those tradeoffs in sound quality, the portability and versatility of use make the device a recommend product.It has the standard range for Bluetooth devices (30 feet), and the construction is solid. As for the "waterproof", I'd say "water resistant". It can stand being rained on, but it is not shielded such that the electronics would break if dunked in still water.

First things first...this is a nice portable bluetooth speaker. The price was right ($24.50 or so) and I am happy with my purchase so far. It connects easily to bluetooth, but the range (at least for me) is only 20 feet of so. I think these companies like to exaggerate the range. The 20 watts of power is also a bit misleading...I have an Oontz Angle 3 that has 10 watts, and this one is just a tad louder at max volume than that one.Seems sturdy, holds a charge so far, and haven't yet used it to juice my phone. I'm just in my 1st week with it, lets see how it is in a year....

6 hours battery with maximum volume : )) not bad at all for camping or hiking. The sound quality is so much better compared to my old speaker. Highly recommend : )))

This is better than what i expected at this price point. It’s waterproof sounds great along where i can charge my devices.

 This little speakerbox is mad dope I didn't expect it to put out big sound like it did but It's pretty loud and I didnt turn it up all the way up yet lol I highly recommend this I might have to get my fam one for X-mas

Great sound quality. My daughter accidentally knocked it into the bath while taking a bath and listening to music, I dried it off and it was completely fine, no lapse in music and no issue with speaker after the fact. Excellent speaker for a great price

Used for my daughter's pool party. Was loud enough to be heard over a group of elementary girls! The charge lasted throughout the entire party and then some. Added bonus....charges my iphone! The product itself is well made-solid product. While it wasn't ever submersed in water, it is able to withstand the splashes from the entire afternoon!

I didn't expect the durability of this! It is much more hardy than I thought it would be. The sound quality is great for a portable Bluetooth speaker.
