One of the best products I own. Good looking, long lasting and very useful.
Best beard trimmer on the market. Charge last a very long time. Feels like I only charge it every couple to few months and I use it every day. Really well made. Runs smooth and no signs of slowing down, well after a year of almost daily use. Lots of options for length (.2 through 3 blade, even without guards). Great sophisticated and sleek look. Cuts well, I shave my beard, outer ear, eye brows and body hair. One of the best and most reliable products I own in any category

The best consumer electronics device I've ever owned
The Philips Norelco 9000 is perhaps the best consumer electronics device I've ever owned. I bought this in 2022 to replace the trusty Philips Norelco BeardTrimmer 7300 that I had purchased way back in 2012. Now, three years later, I am moved to write this review to extol the virtues of this wonder. The battery life is astonishing. I use it regularly to trim my full beard and other facial hair, and I honestly think I've only ever had to recharge the battery a handful of times, maybe once a year? It has never nicked my skin. Although the trimming head is wide enough for heavy duty chores, it is surprisingly precise. It is very handy and travels extremely well. The adjustment for trimming hair length is stays set in place unless you decide to easily change it. Maybe in 2032 I'll be ready for my next Philips Norelco trimmer, but until then I am delighted that I have this.

Excellent beard trimmer
This is a great beard trimmer, solid and well built. The thing I really like is the fact it doesn't need any additional combs/guards up to 1cm, it's all built into the sturdy metal head. There is a dial on the trimmer that enables you to set the trimming length required, this is a god send for me as I travel a lot and am forever losing the guards for my OneBlade. Downside 1 - it's a sturdy unit with a lot of metal so is therefore a lot heavier than something like the OneBlade. It's also quite big but even given it's size it works very well and allows pretty efficient smooth trimming. It's best gripped by the rubberised part at the top of the unit for the best results. Downside 2 - it uses a special proprietary connector which is not USB. It comes with a 120V charger so not much use when travelling outside of countries that don't have 120V. You can get a USB C to special connector adapter from Yinke which seems to work well so far but means another thing to lose when travelling. Downside 3 - to do precision lines and edges you'll still need something like a OneBlade. I've given this a 4/5 rather than a 5 due to the downsides but overall a great product all the same.

Perfect except one thing
Really great trimmer. It makes me want to trim my beard because of how easy and powerful it is. It feels great in the hand and the metal clipper gives a very even trim. So much better than plastic guards which I always feel never cuts perfectly even. There is only one downside. The lowerest it can cut is 0.4mm. So if you want to do some shaping, it doesn’t get rid of all of the hair unfortunately. But if you have a razor, can use the in addition to the trimmer for shaping. I like to shape my mustash ends so it doesn’t look like a handlebar. With my old trimmer, I could do this easily by removing the guard. But with this trimmer, you can’t remove the guard, so it’s a bit inconvenient. But have a razor on hand and it can solve it. Still I would like if it could go down to 0. Bit of a bummer but overall, it’s still the best trimmer I’ve ever used. So I’m happy with it

One guard to rule them all
I've been using this since April 2023. It's built exceptionally well. Only downside is the lowest cut it 0.4mm--which is still plenty short for cleanups / edges for most people. Otherwise, this is a perfect premium trimmer.

Smooth beard trimmer, good battery life
Only used it a few times so far but so far: Does a smooth shave with and without the guard attachment; very smooth! works well; battery life seems great, I charged it for like 15 minutes and could use it right away; it feels good and solid and sturdy; easy to open and clean; it's nice that it is waterproof. The small case is nice for travel. I do not think it would be good for edging at 0.4MM shortest length, I mean it is enough to set a target line or something but you really need a razor or a shaver that goes fully down to the skin. But it is a beard trimmer, not shaver, so that is OK, I shave with something else anyways. Overall very happy with the purchase. Would be nice for $100 if it came with a couple other guards just in case yours broke though or if you wanted more length. If durability is an issue I will report back but so far it is great.

Awful
Not a fan. All beard and mustache trimmer have been bad for years. Last good one was the. T760. ... switching guards is difficult. They are very hard pulling out. Make sure you buy it from a place with no hassle returns. This one you can't read the tiny numbers and its super hard to get the guards off. Guards are cheap, very cheap. Price tag should bring quality for the flagship trimmers Mine came with a broken blade so look out for that. Im sure its probably just mine. 0 stars. Get the Norelco Philips Series 9000, Ultimate Precision Beard and Hair Trimmer with Beard Sense Technology for an Even Trim, BT9810/40 $20 more but it is the one. Cuts through bulk hair like a champ and all you have to do is spend the dial and it automatically sets the length for you don't have to put no guard on or take one off. They do have one that's built with a bunch of guards too same series. Used mine today and I'm going to buy another one for when the one I have now fails in a few years like they all do.

Check which plug you require first. Fantastic beard trimmer! Does anyone know if you can get a stand for this?

My trusty Wahl of the last 10+ years finally bit the dust. I had traditionally used cheaper Wahls or other trimmers you'd find on clearance at Winners, TJ Maxx, etc. As a bald man my beard is my hair of choice and I have been trimming my beard for 20+ years at this point. I did a bunch of research and this one was highly lauded as being the most precise trimmer. I gotta say this thing met all of my lofty expectations and surpassed them. The 0.2mm adjustment will be excellent for doing a taper/fade from bald to full beard. I still have to get used to the precision this device offers and have only used it once so far. But my god that first experience was earth shattering and showed me why it's worth the price of admission. Super high quality feel, easy to maneuver, and as advertised extremely precise. A single pass gets the hairs to the same consistent length like I've never experienced. Usually I would have to do a few passes, and then go guardless to get any stray long hairs sticking out. This trimmer passes the "hand test" where I rub my hand on the side of my face/beard and can feel every follicle touching my hand at the same length. It's truly wild how powerful, and premium this device is. After getting this device it's hard to believe that I hadn't upgraded sooner, especially with how often I trim my beard and maintain it. For any of you guys out there questioning if this is worth the investment over our traditional cheaper trimmers, I cannot speak high enough praise about this product. And makes me question and regret taking this long to get a device of this quality. The precision dial is easy to use, and doesn't slip like traditional adjustable plastic guards. Do yourself a favour, and step up your trimmer game and treat yourself to this device. If you shave/trim your beard regularly you'll immediately be able to tell the quality and precision of this device is second to none. I'm still shocked I spent this much on a trimmer, but have absolutely zero regrets and look forward to mastering it over the coming months/years and enjoying it for the forseeable future!

It doesn't get better than this, let's just try to leave it at that. But seriously, there's no messing around with guards, no attaching anything, no weird gadgets, it just... maintains my stubble at a perfect three-day length. The battery lasts ages, charges quickly, and you can use the shaver while it's charging. It comes in a nice sleeve, of sorts, as pictured. And to address another reviewer - of course this only comes with a US charger, it is being sent from the US. Just check where it is being sent from before giving it 1/5 stars. It's more or less impossible to miss that detail, given that the postage is usually weeks away, and given that it explicitly says on the product's page, i.e. here, that it is coming from the US and it says that again throughout the tracking (of course). I've been using it for a long time with an adapter, with zero issues at all. To get it locally in Australia, that will set you back over $300 usually, so I think... to get this for $150 or however much, it's insanely good value, and it is so easy to either use an adapter (US to Australia of course) or to just buy a new cable, if you really don't want to use an adapter. It's not a big deal, and as I said, it saves you so much money. Shipping from the US was fast, great service from Amazon, as usual 🙂 Truly, I can't recommend this highly enough. I spent so much money over the years, going from one trimmer to the next. I've had my current version of this shaver since 2022, but have recently re-ordered one, so that I have a spare. That's how much I love it! It just makes shaving a much nicer experience, and I've had plenty of comments saying that my stubble "always looks nice, neat, and at the right length". Winning!
