Legato Espresso Single Serve Capsules (French Roast, 100 Count)

The foil top for EVERY pod I used (10) came off spilling the grinds into the machine and the coffee cup. The foil would then stick to the front of the machine having to be removed by hand, every... single... time. I had cleaned the machine after the first one stuck, must have run two full reservoirs of water through the machine between cleaning and rinsing before I tried again. I then used a pod from another company I had on hand... No Problem, put another one of these pods in, same problem, over, and over. These are .36 cents per pod for a reason.

We love this coffee! For years my husband has been an espresso crazy person and would not use decaf beans because of the chemical flavor that seem to be in every type we purchased. Since we tried the Legato decaf espresso pods recently, this is a permanent fixture in our kitchen. Also love the regular coffee. This decaf does not have any chemical flavor or anything that suggests it's not a decaf. So wonderful to have a shot of espresso later in the day and not worry about interfering with sleep. The only part that was a surprise was ordering the hundred individually wrapped ponds and having them arrive in a cardboard box not a big deal it was just funny and unexpected. And what a bargain, less than $0.40 a pod?! Well done Legato!

Cons:1. Pods are densely packed or something, my machine has to work for twice as long to push enough water for an espresso. It has never happened with a nespresso pod. You can literally hear your machine struggling to push water/steam through.2. Very wasteful packaging, each pod is wrapped in its own plastic packet. Why is that necessary??Good thing though is that coffee tastes slightly better than other cheap pods, though at this price point I cannot complain about that.I will try and return this product as, I think, all the increased pressure to push water through the pod will damage the machine.

Thumbs down for the Legato Espresso Single Serve Capsules. The main issue being as other reviewers have said the Nespresso machines recognize the capsules but the coffee barely drips out as the machine stays on about 3x as long as normal trying to squeeze out the coffee. When the coffee finally reaches about half way and the machine stops, I would say the taste is acceptable about 80% as good as say the Bestpresso generic capsules I have used (which by the way work fine). To make matters worse the company would not allow me to return th capsules for any reason. The only big "thumbs up" is of course AMAZON as always, with thier best-in-class customer service took care of that ASAP. As alwasy Amazon, thanks for always saying the customer comes first.

I've gone through MANY different manufacturers of coffee and never found one that tasted good. I will look no more, this one is very tasty and have ordered 200 more since every time I like something it gets discontinued. It has a rich coffee taste and not watered down like all the others I've tried. I make an 8 oz. cup and it's hard to find a bend that will taste good with that much water. This one does!!

My wife likes to drink decaf as she’s currently breast feeding and can’t have too much caffeine. I saw these and although they had mixed reviews, gave it a whirl as they are priced very reasonably. The individual packaging of each capsule is a nice wee touch to keep them fresh; although we have a drawer for our capsules, so have to store the huge box of packets up in a cupboard. A little inconvenient but not a deal breaker. As for the flavor, I have to say they aren’t the nicest, they aren’t the worst either. They kinda taste bland / blah in my wife’s words. The notes in the coffee are practically non existent compared to the official Nespresso capsules. I was hoping for better and now I have 98 capsules left that my wife won’t drink and I don’t drink decaf. Sadly this was a waste of money for us. Amazon aren’t offering any returns on this item and so I’m nearly $40 down. Again, it could be worse financially but it’s still $38 down the drain. The old sayings stands to be true again: “you get what you pay for” and “quality, not quantity”.

I checked several decaf Nespresso suitable options and this one is the best. 100 single packed capsules, guarantees every single capsule will be fresh (on the other hand uses a lot of packaging material), taste is very good, delivered in one big carton of 100 single packs. Price is very good - much below Nespresso....and, especially considering that imported from Italy.

The price (half Nespresso pricing) is what made me try this, and I can tell you the MOST important thing you wanna know about a decaf coffee: Tastes GREAT. Tastes like COFFEE, like CoffeeHouse coffee. I drink it thinking, "This is Decaf?"The dispenser box and hotel style individual pouches - which mean (and you can smell it when you open them) that it's reasonably fresh. VERY pleased, and I'd buy this again.
