Much better
Much better than the first version. Already had the camp pro so just updated this router. Easy to setup and log back in at new campgrounds. You can also see what is connected to network and signal strength.

R36A didn't work for me
I bought the Alfa R36A router and AWUS036NH booster. The booster worked great when connected directly to my laptop. When I put the router in the mix, my speed reduced to less than 1Mbps. No matter what I did (shielding with foil, separating the two devices vertically and horizontally, changing channels, changing output power, etc) I could not get acceptable speed. I couldn't do anything with the signal I was getting.I Decided to chuck it in the lake any buy something else.

A pain to set-up if you are using a MAC
It works as advertised, did not have an issue getting a signal from the campground, but it was confusing to figure out the set up on my Mac, was able to establish a connection using my Mobil devices, and for some reason my Mac would not pick up the signal from the campsite when using the R36A. I did try to contact the ALFA 2 times via email, but did not contact me at all. I think I just got ignored.

Catch & Keep a great signal!
I had to reset it 3 times before I got it connected correctly with its Alpha counterpart and the RV Park Wi-Fi, but when it did connect... It blew the signal up! I was actually able to watch a PUREFLIX movie on their Wi-Fi.I've been in this park for 9 months & have never been able to catch and keep a signal.Until now!

RV WiFi booster
I bought this as an upgrade to our Alfa WiFi Camp Pro that I bought over a year ago. The original was OK, but the interface was very clunky and the best speed I could get (hooked to a 10 Mbps signal) was 1 Mbps. Not enough for anything (Netflix, YouTube, Roku, etc). I put this wireless router (R36A) in place of the original R36 and found the speed had increased to 3-6 Mbps (on the same 10Mbps network). So essentially a >3x increase. And the new interface is so much easier and cleaner. I had it up and running in about 5 minutes as opposed to 30-45 minutes on the old system. So now I have all my electronics the require WiFi connected to just this network and that way when I get to a new campground all I have to do is connect the Alfa network to the campground WiFi and everything else is done. All in all, I would highly recommend this if you are already using the WiFi Camp Pro with R36 router. And with a 4G LTE adapter/antenna you can use this as a cellular hotspot instead of just a WiFi booster.

Excellent Wifi Extender
Bought this router recently to access local marin!'s wifi signal. It's much better than the same product we bought several years ago. Now, we get acceptable speed, good streaming and with virtually no buffering. Plan to add a more powerful antenna in the next short while to increase extender's range. Good purchase!

ALFA R36A Portable Wireless
The R36a is very easy to setup compare to the older model (R36). I installed it with the Alfa AWUS036NH Antenna for WiFi usage.
