Cougar Gold! Such a Golden Cougar treat!
As Washingtonians, one who grew up always eating WSU Creamery cheeses and one who graduated from WSU, it is one of our favorites, ever! Now, we live in North Carolina so it is a real treat to get anything from WSU. Ordering from Amazon is no more expensive than purchasing WSU Creamery Cougar Gold cheese from a grocery store in Pullman or Spokane, Washington. If ordering in summer, let Amazon know and have the Creamery pack the cheese accordingly.

Can't beat Cougar Cheese!
This was a gift, but I have had it myself before. Cougar cheese is pricey but wonderful.

This is NOT a long term food storage item
I was shocked when I pulled this out, it looks as if it’s going to explode. It completely expanded and there’s no way that this very expensive item is for long term food storage, I’ve had it less than a year, kept in a cool, as instructed. Just a complete waste of money. I’m so disappointed and would definitely not recommend this, I can only imagine the mess it would cause if it explodes. What a waste!Update: I was refunded for this item, while I won’t buy it again the seller is great... thank you.

Good
Great cheese. Am over seas so NO good cheese here. Used it to make cheese toast, an isles flotante(???) in hot tomato soup(sarc). Levered It out the can, and chowed down w ersatz Ritz, and cheese toast. Good eating.

The Best Artesian Cheese you can get.
Full of flavor. Made by their students. Well packaged and delivered as they say.

Who cut the cheese?
The can's cover says "store under refrigeration", but was shipped in envelope without insulation, or cold packs. I hope the cheese does not spoil and maintains normal shelf life after opening. A manual old fashion can opener works best. Cut in half or quarters to extract from can. This one tasted very creamy--perhaps advanced aging from heat during transport. Maybe a good thing!

Creamy yet dense deliciousness!
This is the best cheese on the west coast. It will last a long time if you freeze it (not in the tin!) Make sure to wrap it tight. Order way before Christmas because it will sell out!
