Got what I wanted / update it
*Update* So I wanted to do an update. I had to order another sim because I had messed up during my initial setup and couldn’t port my old number. I finally got that resolved and have to say at this point (about a month in) I’m pleased. There’s no bells and whistles but I’m get cheap, effective service which is all I need anyway. Specifically I wanted to address the customer service. My interactions have been via online chat. 3 different times now I’ve used this and each time has been great. I haven’t had to wait more than about 4 minutes at most to get a rep and they’ve all been quick to take the lead on my issues (regarding porting my number). Long story short I’m not sure if people’s negative experiences relate to calling the reps but for me they’ve been excellent. I would like to see a more robust/informative website but that aside, so far so good.—-( original review)——SIM card worked seems to work fine. Came in a timely manner and was a tenth of the cost on Red Pockets website. I’m ordering another because I screwed up during the activation process and now can’t port my old number, but for at this price I won’t complain. As for Red Pocket I’m not sure how they’ll be yet but I will give them credit for helping me out (via chat) quickly. Appearantly they don’t have a help desk 24/7 but the times they are available is 8am to 12am Eastern (so I was told) so should be fine.

Worth reading. sharing a headache preventer
The 2* are very valid, but here's why: the concept of the company, and what they proclaim to offer is a great deal. However, they have yet in my life experience of dealings, been properly able to execute their offerings in whole. Seems a LOT of functionality issues aren't quite worked out. That seems expected here and there with anything. Customer service would be a novel idea, but good luck with success there, and additionally, set aside a large bit if time to attempt this task to your beefs or and satisfaction. There will provide you with many accidental hang ups, consistently. This is not a personal issue. I have wirnessed , and tested via a friend. It got to the hat point... They are unable to follow thru with the promises they make to fix the issue at hand. They are, however, very clever at appeasing you to get off the phone. Its almost amusing the lack of service as a whole. red pocket will end up getting themselves in a rut. Short term company I guess. On a positive and reason for a star: the convenience and usual ease of acquiring a new sim card and get a new number can be very handy in many situations. .IT WILL drive u mad when ur time comes....fair warning. Note: this seller was flawless. Its just a company of product that's lacking....

Terrible product, waste of money
First, you are not buying direct from Red Pocket, you are buying from UP4L. So when you try to activate your SIM card or make a payment, it takes about 24 hours to get into the Red Pocket system. Sometimes the payment doesn't go through at all and you have to contact UP4L and get them to pay Red Pocket. But the real problem is Red Pocket itself. I love the idea of a low cost SIM card for your own phone, because this is the norm in many other countries. But Red Pocket's service is terrible. Signal routinely goes down to zero bars / no service for no apparent reason. And when it does come back, I'm still mostly unable to make calls. Dial a number and nothing happens, no connection. Literally one out of ten calls goes through. No idea how many incoming calls I might be missing. As of this writing, Red Pocket doesn't have an active Help Center chat function on their website which means that when your phone stops working, there is no way to contact them. My worst experience with a phone company, total waste of time and money.

Great product for the price.
I've used red pocket in the past and moved to H20. Came back again as I was looking for MMS service for my iphone 8plus on MVNO. I heard verizon MVNO works and redpocket ran this annual deal. MMS worked with verizon MVNO and am happy lot. Will recommend this product for people looking for MMS issue. The only thing is data should be on to get MMS. Once in a while we on data and all MMS are delivered. That's cool

Works Great!
This card was easy to install and it was easy to get up and running with red pocket. I was concerned because some of the reviews I read on this site talked about the difficulty they had with the red pocket site, ect. The customer service was great and the site is easyto maneuver around. I think some people are handicapped when on the internet and blame the site rather than learn to use it. I had no problem and it works great in an old At&T phone I had.

Scam inside
Included a letter in the box to send me my number to enter a giveaway. What a scam

TOTAL S C A M
Activation instructions aren't for a RedPocket site. Instead for some site in Thailand that fails to bring up the activation link.

so good. Hope it continues this way
It's been 3 weeks and the sim card worked the way it's supposed to. Found out many more phones are compatible with Red Pocket than I first thought . Service is so far, so good. Hope it continues this way.
