I went on my first euro trip alone and read all about the products that would make life easier while traveling. I purchased the towel in grey that also comes with a smaller one. I loved how lightweight it was and how well it packed into my small luggage. It did its job at several hostels, when I went into the ocean, or had a picnic on the grass, even as a little emergency blanket. It was great when I had to quickly move from one place to another and my towel didn't have enough time to dry because I showered that morning. It never smelled. The tag was also great to use with hooks in hostel showers.I washed it about once a week for 8 weeks of almost daily use. The fact that it was so compact and not smelly are really why you buy a microfiber towel like this. However, the down side to this is you just don't want to use a microfiber towel (of any kind) for 8 weeks or any prolonged use. They're not satisfyingly absorbent, its like wiping yourself with a fabric shower curtain. They dry fast because they don't really dry you. A fluffy towel was a luxury I really missed when I was on the road.Nothing in life is perfect so we must compromise. If you're not going on super long trips I don't think you'll have an issue with the towel for its compactness and lack of a stench outweigh not feeling as dry as you'd like. And you're also helping save elephants. But if I was doing another long trip I might look into a turkish towel.

used these for a recent trip to europe. wanted some towels for the beach but didn't want to pack actual towels. The XL was large enough to wrap around me. They absorbed the water well but dried quickly. We also found them handy for using like a picnic blanket. Don't want to sit on the ground, throw this down to keep from having to wash those jeans again. I did wash them before use, so not sure if that helped them to be more absorbent. Also, expect a thin travel towel. These are not meant to be luxurious.

Bought for upcoming trip. Needing to haul with me. Lightweight a must. Realize this is a different type of towel, but hope the absorbancy and quick drying make up for the chamois type feel.

Great towel. I have used it a few times already and it does dry really fast. I also like that it comes with a smaller towel. For the price, it's a good deal compared to the others out there. It does feel different then a regular towel and it might take some people some time to get used to it. You just kind of have to pat dry instead of wiping yourself. It's totally worth it for me. I love that it dries fast and packs up small, allowing me to travel with it in a backpack.

This thing works exactly as described, must have. I’m qnot sure why this isn’t the only type towel i use. Keep on in my go bag, and gym bag, and work locker and gym locker.

Absorbent, but lack of friction makes it hard to dry yourself off with it.

Took this to a recent travel and it performed well. Dried quick and has no smell. However this is anything but soft, like 6000 grit sand paper.

I took this towel on my trip to Vietnam. It was super easy to pack and dried very quickly. Great for use on the go and it was just the right size. Not as big as a full towel but big enough to dry you off.
