Wow, loved the art. So hard to do this style and the story was phenomenal
Great all around. From the individual back stories of all the MANY characters in this comic. I loved the blending of eras, the end of one, beginning of another. The old school way with everyone smoking and drinking. It was a great call back to that time in comic history and the new age that was upon us. Goes a little bit all over the place at the beginning trying to show a glimpse of what's been going on and how things are going and where they are leading. Just a great story arc in general. The art was so fantastic, I love the look that darwyn Cooke has in his stories. Looks like it's done in a very thin marker and its soooo hard to draw in markers. The dialogue and just the way the characters speak was done again so well. My favorite part is probably the john jonz stuff because it gives him a nice backstory and the way it intertwines and where was a touch of genius. Highly recommend this to any comic fan or fan of these ages in comics. Truly a all around masterpiece and think any comic fan would love and get a great deal of enjoyment and entertainment out of this entire comic.

Optimism of the modern Silver age
Written by the late Darwyn Cooke this sprawling epic the great league stories of our time. Every character has a something to do no matter how small their role is or how big it is from Hal Jordan’s call to action to become Green lantern, Barry finding his role in the world as Flash J’onn J’onzz finding and accepting his new home on earth as Martian Manhunter. All these story lines come together in the climax perfectly. With heavily political commentary on war, racism, and protecting the identity on how it effects people and how people change from those experiences to become better people and better hero’s to strive for a better tomorrow a new frontier.

Epic
Starts as a slow burn introducing us to heroes before they become heroes, danger looms and they each shine through courage and bravery, until they all unite, to defeat an evil that threatens all mankind.

great book, meh condition
the story is a better experience over the film. i decided after seeing the film i wanted to see how much was cut out and you get a decent chunk of work and narrative that would've done the film more justice. darwyn cooke's style is an appreciated style, much like bruce timm's but more golden age touch into dark themes.the book itself in its condition, i am bugged by, my first initial pages had pages fused together and the prints faded.recommend checking over the book after getting it.

Greatest superhero book ever released
A fantastic comic that draws you in and keeps you reading until you're done, Darwyn Cooke obviously loved & understood superheroes & the silver age of comics more than anyone else probably ever has or will and it shows on every single page.

A Love Letter to the Golden Age of Comics
A touching, inspiring, nostalgic take on the defining era of Geopolitical history, during and post world war 2. Shows conflicts - internal and external, pain, ambitions, vision, and evolution of many DC comics stalwarts. A masterpiece in every sense of the way, this one turns back the clock and takes the reader to a trip down the memory lane with many real life icons peppered throughout the book. The way superheroes were conceived back then, and how the world war shaped many of the decisions that were taken with regards to them is nicely chronicled. Then there is the artwork. Magnificence beyond anything, every panel is a treat for the eyes. Storytelling is impeccable as well with the chapter "Analog Heroes" a lesson in 1st person narrative storytelling.A must have for every DC fan.Arrived in safe packaging, thanks Amazon.

Excellent graphic novel but not the Black Label Ed.
Amazing graphic novel but the edition that has been sent, it’s not the DC Label Ed.It’s a paperback cover, which imo makes reading easier than an hardcover, the pages aren’t glossy but it didn’t matter since I’m not a fan of glossy pages. The story and art are incredible, highly recommended!

DC The New Frontier review
This graphic novel is a huge story about the Justice league working together to fight against villains. The pictures are neat and clear to see and the text are also clear to read. The characters in this comic book are awesome like on how each of the superheroes such as Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and Superman react when placed in different situations so far. I think this graphic novel is good read and that I would recommend teens to read this graphic novel.

Épico!
Não tinha muitas expectativas, mas o material é muito bom! Não se deixe enganar pelo traço mais ' cartoon' assim como eu, serve até de contraponto para abordagem de assuntos muito sérios!
