Q: Any one have issues with one of these speakers causing Head unit to shut off at higher volume then cut back on ? Wire connections are solid .

The only time I've ever experienced protection mode is when I had polarity wrong on one of them. At low volume, the reverse polarity will distort the sound but the radio can handle it but at high volume the clipping causes the radio to shut off. Other than that, I've never experienced turning up the volume and my head unit cutting off.
