Higher power than what came with the UAP
Some Ubiquiti gear comes with their nonstandard 24V power injectors. They work well, but if you ever want to use the passthrough PoE that some of their equipment supports, that injector usually isn't beefy enough.Their EdgeRouter X is one such passthrough device. Using this 24W PoE injector, I can power both the router and a UAP-AC-LITE together, for less clutter. But, if you just need to power a single device, their 12W PoE injector will usually suffice.

First unit was defective - Subsequent Units work as expected.
I ordered 2 of these units for backhauls. Unfortunately 1 of the 2 units was DOA. However, I was able to easily replace it through Amazon's return department.1 of the first 2 units works as expected, and the replacement unit works as expected as well. I am a Network Engineer, so I have run into quite a few of these either being DOA or going bad out in the field. Unfortunately they're hit or miss, however, when they do work, the work as expected.

Does what it says on the box
Simple PoE injector that works fine, doesn't make noise, doesn't degrade link performance, doesn't drop packets, handles the load fine, etc. as you would expect a PoE injector to do. Not that expensive either. Thumbs up.

Misleading Listing - I was shipped a Ubiquiti POE-24-AF5X with was a waste of time
The title for this product leads the buyer to believe it is a "POE-24-24W-G", but I received Ubiquiti product code "POE-24-AF5X". While this appears to be equivalent on the surface, the actual method power is delivered over the ethernet cable is different, which led to a very frustrating troubleshooting process when trying to pair with an Ubiquiti NanoStation 5AC Loco.POE-24-AF5X provides voltage +(1,2)(4,5) pins, and voltage -(3,6)(7,8) pins on the output ethernet cable. What I expected to receive was what the POE-24-24W-G device, which provides voltage +(4,5) pins, and voltage -(3,6)(7,8) pins on the output ethernet cable. This led to my NanoStation 5AC Loco powering on, receive an IP address, but ultimately not function properly.Posting this to save the next person from the same fate. Please update the listing title and description.
