Almost too warm!
My hands and fingers often get extremely cold when using traditional ski gloves so I decided to try mittens. These mittens kept my hands very warm during a 3 day ski trip to Jackson Hole, WY. In fact, my hands were actually sweating at times even though temps were in the teens and 20s and it was snowy and windy each day. Overall the gloves performed great. They seem well made and durable. I wear size L in most gloves but the size L in these mittens was too small for my hands. My fingers were touching the ends of the gloves and were uncomfortable, despite there being plenty of width. I exchanged the size L for XL and the fit was perfect.

Works too well
My husband and I are Michiganders who moved to a warmer state. Every time we returned home for the holidays with family we would freeze. Gloves weren't doing it for us to stay warm during outdoor activities. It's not fun when you can't feel your fingers. I purchased a pair of Carhartt Men's and Women's mittens so our fingers could keep warm when together rather than separated by glove fingers. These mittens worked so well to keep our hands warm that we ran into a different issue; it just got too hot! We would have to take our mittens off to let our hands cool off before putting them back on or else the mittens would get sweaty inside.

Excellent! Keeps the Hands Toasty Warm While Shoveling!
I bought these mittens specifically for shoveling snow during the cold winter months. For years I would shovel snow, and the rest of my body would be very comfortable, with layers I could peel off as I warmed up during shoveling. However, all those years I was wearing regular gloves with fingers. I was using nice quality gloves, but certainly not any gloves rated for severe cold or for professional outdoors use. In any case, my fingers have always gotten very cold while I shoveled, and often when I would go back inside and remove my gloves, my hands and fingers would hurt due to the severe change of temperatures. I got really tired of this and finally decided to get a good quality pair of mittens, due to the fact that mittens keep your hands warmer since the fingers are not isolated from one another. I like having the dexterity of gloves, but I don't need that dexterity at all while shoveling.I have now used these Carharrt mittens about a dozen times for shoveling. I have been out there 45 minutes at times, or even slightly longer, and my hands haven't been even a little bit cold. And when I come back inside, my hands just feel great, and there is no shock from my fingers going from freezing cold to warm. For the money, these mittens are superb. They suit my needs perfectly, and I am thrilled with my purchase. For doing any work in the cold which does not require dexterity, I can heartily recommend these mittens if you like having comfortable and happy hands.

and for people not prone to easily perspire from their hands
I bought this to use on my bike commute to work when the temperatures here dropped into the 30's. I own a pair of Pearl Izumi gloves, but those weren't cutting it once the temps got colder. These mitts work well, probably too well for what I need them to do.By the time I finished my first ride, which is only about a mile, my hands were sweating. I cannot fault the mitts for doing their job, and I have hands that when warm run a little sweaty any way. I don't ride quickly when I pedal into work, but these things seemed to block out all wind, while the lined interior toasted my fingers up quickly.I think they are constructed well and would probably keep most peoples' hands warm well into the 20 degree or less range. I live in southern Arizona, so I can't comment on their ability to keep your hands warm into the tens or single degree type weather that people might encounter in other parts of the country. For less strenuous activities (i.e. not biking or running), and for people not prone to easily perspire from their hands, these mitts seem like they would do a very good job keeping your hands warm. I have only had them a couple weeks, and I will update my post when I put some more use into them.As far as how they fit, I think they're about average for large size mittens. I don't have large hands, so there is a fair amount of room around my fingers. From everything I've read, that's the way you're supposed to size gloves and mitts; they're not supposed to be tight. If you do have large hands, I would probably recommend going a size larger than normal.I don't like having cold hands, and these mitts do the most fundamental job they're designed to do: keeping my hands warm. For those who are wondering why not five stars? I have not spent enough time with them to give them five stars, and no, I didn't take a star off because they make my hands sweat. Five stars is perfection, and perfection is hard to attain. I think four stars is a good rating, one that indicates a product is above average, which this one is. Five stars . . . well, I think those should be saved for exemplary products that redefine the standards for that type of product. We're not there with these mitts, but so far, I would recommend these to people who need to be outside in cold weather and want to keep their hands warm, as long as they aren't doing anything too vigorous, which will probably make their hands sweat in these toasty mitts.

Surprisingly Great Quality – Glad I Tried Carhartt!
I usually go for Kombi brand gloves/mitts, but I decided to give these Carhartt W.P. Waterproof Insulated Mitts a try, and I’m really glad I did! The quality is excellent—they’re durable, warm, and completely waterproof, even in harsh conditions. The insulation keeps my hands toasty without feeling bulky, and the fit is comfortable with good flexibility. These mitts held up perfectly during long hours outside in the cold. Carhartt really impressed me with this one, and I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking for rugged, reliable winter gear!

Bad ass mits
Theses things are a great purchase, not the warmest they're a bit thin(still pretty warm) but more importantly they are fully water proof. Hands stay dry no matter how much water.

Darker than the pictures
These are more brown and dull than the stock photos and I like that, it's really hard to get an accurate photo of the colour as my camera changes it, the editing mode on my camera goes slightly dull when you edit photos (!?) and then Amazon slightly changes the photo when you upload it 🙃 but hopefully my pics give a better idea of the colour as it's somewhere between the two photos I've uploaded.. 🤌🙏Gloves feel very well made and warm and I'll definitely consider Carhartt in the future.
