Tomy Multi Spin Cordless, Battery-Powered/Battery-Operated Mini Centrifuge (Also Includes AC Adapter), Made in Japan

We recently ordered this centrifuge for molecular biology work in our lab. It works exactly as advertised, and is very easy to use. This unit also comes with a second rotor for small tubes (not shown, we tested this on 300 ul thin-style eppendorfs tubes) that is can be rapidly switched out between uses. Importantly to us, it runs on 4x AA batteries! This allows us to use in cell culture hoods, and would also make it suitable for field work where AC is not readily available. Overall, we are very happy with this purchase!

This is a great little centrifuge- I can spin 8 2 mL microtubes at high speed. What's really great is that it runs on batteries so I can use it in the incubator, or cold room. It also comes with a PCR strip adapter if you need.

Quality is higher than the usual expectation.From the quality of manual paper, stickers, the pen (thank you!) to the centrifuge itself. Its made of high-quality material and precision of all details. Quite and nice looking.

Works really well settling sediment from soil extractions in the field. Not sure of the g force and spin rate does not appear to be adjustable
