Outstanding Resource for Helping Children
Children are different and any clinician who works with children in trauma will want to encorporate the tools and techniques in this book, written by giants in EMDR treatment in designing treatment planning. Used in conjunction with the standard protocols, and proper training, the treatment modifications suggested in this work will enhance the competency of clinicians who work with children in distress.

Through the Eyes of a Child, EMDR with Children
Although this book was first published in 1999, it never-the-less contains helpful information that can be utilized by psychotherapists today who are interested in implementing EMDR in their practice with children. Based on research and clinical experience, the authors, Tinker and Wilson, guide the reader through the process of EMDR with children. They explain how they have modified EMDR protocals to work with children at different ages and stages of development, and they share "troubleshooting" tips to guide the therapist when challenges in the process occur. Many clinical case examples with explanations are provided throughout the book. I highly recommend this book as a practical guide to all licensed clinicians (who are trained in EMDR) and who are looking for more information on how to use EMDR to help children heal.
