DO NOT COME WITH THE LOCKS SHOWN
I bought these and returned them, because they dont come with the locks shown in the pictures and there is no description to say that! Almost false advertising if you ask me. These are quite expencive compared to other places for no locks. However, the bars themselves are good bars. I ended up buying from elsewhere as got the bars and the locks as extra for the same price as these. And they are good bars very easy to use come with the tool needed to assemble and attatch to roof bars. They will only work with raised roof bars with a gap underneath, because of the way they clamp on. There are 4 different sizes so make sure they fit your car first (i know of 120 and 130, 130 did not fit my car the clamps wouldnt go narrow enough). If i remember right i think theyre rated to 75kg. I just bought a roof tent which is why i needed them and so far the 2 bars are holsing well, no issues so far. (roof rent weighs 55kg). They dont bend very much and are very easily to fit securely. Come with a plastic type cover over them, which can slide side to side if the end caps are not clipped on the ends correctly. I would want to make sure anything remotely heavy was clamped on well though to also grip the plastic from slipping. There is no reason the bars wont work ok without the plastic if necessary. Might just be me being extra neevous as ive never had anything on my roof! But my tent has tight clamp fittings anyway. The reason i chose these bars specifically is because once everything is taken into consideration, the bar size and the clamp and where it has to sit on the roof rails etc, these were some of the shortest that would fit my car. As in keeping the total height of my car, up to the top of my roof load, down. I had to keep it down to fit onto a ferry. I have an old car so tall roof rails anyway. As it may save someone a lot of searching, as of march 2020 these are the lowest total height available for a vauxhall astra G (2001) estate with roof bars.
