I wish that the safety info that came attached to the vest was available to view in product description or product photos.

The colors of this vest are super cute. She is not a fan of it ...
My daughter is 13 months and 20 lbs. The colors of this vest are super cute. She is not a fan of it when we first put her in it but gets used to it after 10 minutes or so. It held her up on her back in the water. I do wish I had looked harder to find a neoprene vest. I think that would be less bulky on her and give her more freedom of movement and comfort. Serves its purpose and is coast guard approved.

Bulky life vest
I bought this at the same time as I purchased the Stohlquist Unisex Infant/Toddler Nemo Infant Life Jacket/Personal Floatation Device (Yellow/Blue, Less Than 30-Pound) . I found that the O'Neill life vest was a lot bulkier than the Stohlquist. My son found it uncomfortable when it would push up underneath his chin. For the price, it's great but I returned it and kept the Stohlquist.

Good quality for price
The life vest was a little larger for our two month old, but we were only using this for safety regulations for boating. When she was three months (roughly 12 pounds and 22" long)the best fit snugly where I didn't feel like she would just slip out of it. We put her in this and laid her on a float and she napped all day. She was snug and comfortable and she will have room to grow into it when she can actually get into the water and play.

Great quality vest for the price!
Purchased this quite a while ago for my infant daughter when we moved to a house with a dock and water access. We've used it for her on our boat, kayaks, paddle boards and paddleboat continuously and she's now 2.5 years old and 26lbs and it still fits. We've even let her float around in a pool in it, at her request, and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Glad we got the infant size and not larger, although we know we'll have to size up soon.

I was pretty amazed this fit our 10-month-old
I was pretty amazed this fit our 10-month-old. I like that the back isn't padded with flotation material, but the front and the neck-piece around the back are. It has one of those loops around the collar so you can pull baby up with one hand, and the collar flotation area should keep him upright or slightly leaning back instead of falling forward... kind of important when you're talking about taking an infant into the water. I also think the crotch strap is key for a baby since they can't pull it down themselves, and you do NOT want it to rise up into their face. The zipper is extra nice, too. Keep it snug, and baby should be happily buoyant. Can't wait to try it out this weekend!

Keeps head above water.
Safety vest was purchased for my 15 mos. old son (27 lbs.) for our staycation at Aulani. We only used it in the pool. It has a snug fit which I’m assuming helped with keeping him afloat. He enjoyed being able to rest his head back to float with assistance. We don’t have to worry about wobbling as the vests they provided at the pool required more parent assisted stability than our vest.
